Essentials are… well, an essential part of anyone’s wardrobe (wow, we’re off to a good start today!) but when I look at all those blog posts and magazine articles about “The Wardrobe Essentials” not many of them actually live in my wardrobe, and if they do, they don’t actually get many outings.
The more I thought about it, the more there were other pieces in my wardrobe that have become my “essentials”, things you wouldn’t always think you would get great cost-per-wear from, but I really do!
So here are my 5 wardrobe essentials you NEVER knew you needed!
It’s time for the last, but certainly not the least of our gorgeous body shapes – the juicy Apple!! Now for all you older ladies out there, this shape may start to sound familiar – it tends to be a shape quite a few of us turn into as we get a little older – but there can also be some Spring Apple chickens in the mix too!
So what makes you an Apple shape and how can can you look your best?
It’s time for the gorgeous column’s turn! I think our wonderful column-shaped women are lucky – you can wear clothes that really show off your athletic shape or you can dress with the illusion that you have a bangin’ hourglass body too! You are the chameleon of the body shapes bunch! But first…. what makes you a column?
I love me a good trend (did I mentioned I’m addicted to statement pants? Ad.Dic.Ted… remember this?). Peplums, neon and floral prints have also all made their way into my wardrobe already this Spring…. BUT there is also something to say for classic style. A well cut blazer, a pretty, girly frock and an amazing pair of heels are ALWAYS welcome in my style books and are often the first things I recommend my clients have in their wardrobe.
The age-old question….
Hands up if you’ve ever walked into a shop, taken one look around, thought “this is all too hard” and walked out again! My hand is well and truly up, I can tell you that now! In fact, I did it twice in the same day last week. AND I’M SUPPOSED TO SHOP FOR A LIVING!
The calm before the store – Zara Bondi Junction just before opening
Let me explain – Zara Bondi Junction opened on Thursday. (I’m in Sydney for a month for those of you who are slightly confused about where I live right now….. join the club haha!). Friday morning, first thing I rocked up, imaginary credit card in hand, ready to go craaaaaazy in Zara. But there was just SO. MANY. CLOTHES…. and SO. MANY. PEOPLE…. I didn’t know where to start, I didn’t know what I was looking for, and to be honest, I didn’t really feel like trying anything on (MOST out of character for me. In fact I think the boy’s jaw just hit the ground reading this). It was all too much so I walked out and had a coffee.
