Confession time: I TOTALLY steal my style from other people. Like ALL THE TIME. And this gorgeous jacket is no different. I saw it on the gorgeous (and lovely, and helpful) manager of Jacqui E Sylvia Park, Tania, and decided that I must have one too. So I bought it on the spot.
Sometimes you see something and you think, “yes I’m going to wear that A LOT” and this is one of those pieces for me. I can see it becoming a great distraction from the baby bump (haha) but it also makes me feel like I’m a little “on trend” without being hard out ‘fashion victim” – the constant battle right?
So here it is on the model…..
SHOP IT HERE: Jacqui E sleeveless trench ON SALE $69.95
And here it is in three different ways that I have worn it (and that you can totally wear it too!)
Monochrome is always a good option for work-wear. Pair this with your slim black pants and just change out your blouse and you have a different option that a blazer for when you need to look sharp and professional.
Is it going to be too hot in the restaurant? Too cold in the movie cinema? This sleeveless option covers all bases for date night with the hubby, or a catchup with a girlfriend. You could even go more casual and add some trainers instead.
(excuse the baby bump!) This is a great jacket option for any night-time events or functions you have to head along to. You won’t have to take it off and stash it somewhere, and you’ve added that extra bit of funk with the fun layer – perfect!
You know I love getting more bang for buck when it comes to clothes and this piece is no different. There are so many gorgeous lightweight and sleeveless pieces around atm, (in fact there is a whole new blog coming on them next week too!)
What do you think, yay or nay for you? Do you have any more questions about how to style this jacket? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to know!

haha totally Kelly!
Hi, I tried on the Jacqui E sleeveless trench but it didn’t suit me as much as what I thought it would. I was a bit disappointed but I found a lovely ‘Whistle’ Sleeveless Jacket in Farmers which fits me beautifully and looks amazing on me. Like the Jacqui E one you purchased, I too can still take all your advice and style my vest like the one you’ve styled in your pictures. I have always loved sleeveless vests but never knew how many ways you could put them together, and know I know, there will be no stopping me so thank you very much for your great advice!
Oh yay! I’m glad you persisted, sometimes the ONE item I talk about is not THE perfect option for every single person, but it’s all about giving you the ideas 😉 have fun with your sleeveless jacket! xx
Yay! So I have one of these too (on top of the shorter sportier looking version – as you do)! Told you I have a ridiculous wardrobe :-/ I think I need to wear mine open like your first look, thanks for the inspiration!
