I hate negative self-talk. Hate is a strong word, I know, but I do hate it. So many women spend so much time judging themselves (and others, but that’s a whole other story!) in a negative way and it has to stop.
What good is it doing you? Really. It doesn’t make anything better, so why do it? Why not turn the way you think to have a positive spin? Learn to LOVE your body and what it’s doing for you.
I find myself talking to my personal styling clients about their relationships with their bodies almost daily so I wanted to share some of the advice I give them with you too.
So here are my top 5 ways to start feeling AWESOME about your body.
Remember, it’s a privilege to have the body you have, don’t hate on it. Learn to love it, embrace it, and then get on with your life feeling amazing!
Now it’s time for some homework! Tell me THREE things your like about your body in the comments below – let’s get this body-love going!
I’ll start, I love my legs, my hair and my height…. now you go….
Hmm – I found this difficult. I only look at the parts of my body I don’t like. But here it goes – I like my eyes, hair and breasts.
yay!!! That’s a great start Kim, now keep looking at those bit more and you’ll stop noticing the bits you don’t like so much (you might even learn to love them too) x
AMEN! Love this! As for 3 things I like about myself… my eyes, my smile and my hair. x
they are ALL gorgeous – as are you my love xx
Smile 🙂 !! And maybe hands? Too random?!
haha not random at all my lovely!!! xx
Five things! Wow… OK. I love my legs, they are always what I try and show off. I love my back, I think it’s long and lean and elegant. I love my décolletage, I have pretty small boobs (which I also love!) and so I can wear quite androgynous tops that fall open and show off a bit of skin in a sexy-understated way. And finally, I love my eyes – I go on about how brown and boring they are, but they sparkle with life and I really do love them 🙂 x
go you!!!! xx
I love my calves and ankles, my collar bone ‘area’ and my hair!
Nice one Katrina 🙂
I love my little feet, my biggish boobs and my big brown eyes 🙂
So good Lou!! xx
Hi. After years of being hard on myself I have finally accepted myself for the way I am. I like my hair, eyes & smile.
Yay! that makes me so happy to hear Angie! x
Great post! I love my hair, my butt, and my wrists (weird, but they are ‘dainty’)!
Thanks Jess – totally not weird! I think women’s wrists are awesome!!
Eye colour. Smile and my touche
