If I had a dollar for every client that said to me “I just want to be comfortable”, well, let’s just say my shoe-robe would be a LOT bigger….
I get it, we like to be comfortable. I mean who doesn’t want to feel comfy and relaxed in what they are wearing? I sure do! BUT I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is feeling like they have to choose between feeling comfortable (old, daggy trackies?) and being stylish (high heels and tight dresses?).
Well guess what? It’s all a bunch of bulls#*t! You can totally do both! I like to think that what I share with you guys on the blog, and especially over on social with my #everydaystyle posts, is living proof of that.
The shoes you wear is a big part of being comfortable, but when also being fabulously stylish right? So when the family-owned and NZ-based company, Ziera asked me to try a new pair of shoes from their summer range, I jumped at the chance!
After looking through their latest range, I loved the look of these funky slides (the “Toni”) – especially now with a wee one, any shoe that I can pop on at a moment’s notice and run out the door in is going straight to the top of my shopping list!
SHOP THE SHOES: Ziera “Toni” slides in silver $199.95
I think they are such a great example of how you can get into one of summer’s hottest shoe trends, the slide (ditch the jandals!), PLUS wear shoes that are not only comfortable, but actually good for your feet!
I’ve styled them up in a couple of ways for everyday style and comfort!
The “Mum Uniform”
I hate to say it, but I’ve totally adopted the Mum Uniform: Draped pants and a tee (Who am I kidding, I wore this before I was a mum)! This family hit the road for a weekend away in Rotorua and I found this was the perfect outfit for exploring the town!
I love the Ziera Toni slides for slipping on and off in the car (I’m that person that sits with my knees folded up in the passenger seat), but they were also perfect for walking around the lake – seriously like walking on clouds.
And the pants? You KNOW I love a draped pant, but these are next level. So comfy, but I feel like they really match my style too, so I always FEEL awesome when I’m wearing them. Shop the look below….
SHOP THE LOOK: Betty Basics tee $32.90 | Elm “lobby” pants $89.95 | Ziera “Toni” sandals $199.95
Everyday Style
These two words pretty much sum up everything Chasing Cait is about. It’s really important for me that you, my readers, feel like you can have fun with style everyday, not just on those special occasions!
This look is something that you could wear in your everyday life – school pickup, movies with some girlfriends, just hanging out with the family or playing tourist (like I am at the amazing Rotorua Government Gardens and Museum).
SHOP THE LOOK: Feather & Noise top $49 | Asos jeans $60 | Max sunnies (old) similar here $39.99 | Ziera “Toni” sandals $199.95
Going into summer, you can never have too many pairs of great sandals that go with almost anything, and the silver colour of these Ziera slides is the perfect complement to any summer look. PLUS all Ziera shoes are made with your comfort in mind, without compromising on style – sign me up for a shoe-robe full of that, right?

I would dearly love a pair of the Salma sandals. Perfect with skirts or pants, the perfect height heel & funky without being weird. I’ve tried them on and they’re super comfortable too. Definitely on my wishlist for Christmas this year.
I would hands down choose the Toni slide but in rose gold (to match my phone). I’d style it with my khaki decjuba shorts and black crochet panel tee from ezibuy + mooi bag in hazelnut. I’d be sure to fake tan my legs for best results 😉
Hi. My name is Brian. I’m Lou’s bunion. She called me Brian because I reminded her of this really annoying guy she used to work with. He was called Brian. He wouldn’t go away either.
Lou needs Toni, by Ziera, in her life. She’s a casual kind of chick, but she’s a bit vain. She wears heels to work most days coz she’s a midget. 5″1 you see. She’s still dark she stopped growing when she was 11. The thing is – Heels hurt me. Lou says “harden up Prince” when I complain that hurt. Lou reckons heels make her feel more powerful and confident. Without heels, she’s nothing. So I suffer. Lou suffers. Neither of us are happy. But we solider on.
So on the weekend, now thingsn are getting warm, Lou wears jandals. She rocks these with her denims. Her drapey stripey pants that Caitlyn put her onto. But here’s the thing: I don’t like jandals either! Jandals hurt me. Poor Brian Bunion.
Help a bunion out. Lou really needs some decent shoes for summer. I’ve tried to talk her into getting some of those orthapedic ones. Her podiatrist said the same thing. But Lou, oh she doesn’t listen.
Please help us. Lou needs Toni. I need Toni. I feel Toni and I could become intimate, er, I mean, good friends, we’d get on really well. Maybe it would keep Lou out of jandals. Hell, maybe she could wear Toni to work on non-client facing days. It’s worth a crack – isn’t it?
Toni would have to be silver. Lou is a cool toned, she loves silver. Hell, she even rocks a silver smokey eye sometimes. Things would all be sorta matchy matchy, in a sorta, non overkill kinda way.
Toni. Yeah Toni. She’s the one.
Thanks Caitlyn. Good work by the way. Those drapey pants are the bomb.
Yours,
Brian
Bunion (Right foot)
If I won, I would pick both the Boom and the Flyer (two great pairs of shoes for not much extra moolah would be a super duper deal!)
I work in a professional office, so realistically the Booms would regularly be worn with my black capris. A black tank, and a lightweight colored cardigan or with a cute summer blouse would round out the occasion for the more casual moments (with an appropriate statement necklace of course!)
The understated Flyer would become the office staple with just enough height to feel feminine and strong without regretting it the next day.
The favorite way I would style an outfit with flyer would be the super cute navy blue with black and white flower knee length skirt recently picked up on sale at Jacqui-e. In the same sale, there was also lightweight black pussy-bow blouse. Pair those with freshly self tanned legs, my silver “fake Diana” ring, a simple silver bar necklace from a small silversmith artist that my sister found me and of course the naturally curly hair pinned up in a “messy but professional” updo. Talk about Power suit!
At 37 weeks pregnant, I’m ALL about comfort! So I’d go with the Zierra ‘Toni’ sandals – because I can’t reach my feet to be able to put shoes with straps or anything else on!
I like the look of the metallic range, but will have to save most of those for post baby!
I love the Lido in silver.
I’ve got 2 outfits in mind for this look.
Denim shorts, fitted black T with long silver tassle chain & lido (& maybe a tan!)
Or one of my high/low dresses for a slightly more dressier feel 😍
i am in desperate need of new summer shoes & the silver Toni slides would be fabulous!! i’ve been slopping around in the same pair of jandals for 10 years now (i know it’s that long coz i accidentally have them on in every santa photo that i’ve been forced into by at least 1 of 5 of my kids having a meltdown over the terrifying sight that is Santa). The jandals really need to go as they are so worn that they are now shiney on the bottom which recently resulted in a fall down the stairs & a very sore bruised bottom (& ego)!! I am pretty confident i’d live in them & may even ditch the granny slippers to pair them up with a pink fluffy dressing gown. i’m trying hard to up my style game this season, i have a 14yr old daughter to impress!!
I would pick the Cooper shoes in black, tan and silver – I would team them with an EziBuy black floral pocket dress or ketze k slouch pants and an whistle navy peplum top
I’d love a pair of the Toni slides in either silver for summer! Would be a treat for my feet after spending a winter in ugg boots and the start of summer in jandals!
I am a mum of a 14year old, 10 year old and now a gorgeous 6 week old, Maisie. I had really forgotten how tiring having a young one is! My wardrobe is suffering somewhat at the moment, with everything being either too big, too small or not suitable for breastfeeding. I’m in dire need of a new wardrobe including summer footwear, so if I could win a pair the husband would appreciate that expense taken away as I plan to buy myself a few new clothes for Xmas. I’d love a pair of the Toni slides 😃
Toni leather slides in silver are amazing and would add to my current summer shoes
I actually can’t remember since having kids the last time I spent over $30 on a pair of shoes! The Toni in rose would be pretty wonderful as I love rose gold anything. They would certainly look more stylish than the jandel’s that I live in over summer. The would be fantastically conveinent for the mad rush out the door for the school drop off and pickup of master 7 and 5, and they would be super comfortable for dancing at mainly music with Master 8 month old..im sure they wouldget a lot of wear..next competition wardrobe makeover as would need a new outfit to go with the shoes!
I would love the Piper casual shoes, they are perfect for everyday wear.
I’d love the Greta sandals in Ocelot, I’d wear them with jeans on a night out or tunics and black slim line pants to work. They’d sexy up my life ❤️
I love the Toni Silver slides awesome for summer!
They look super comfortable but also really cool. A lot better for my feet than the slip slops I wear. Great prize.
I would love a pair of the Toni in Silver, as I have been on the lookout for some slides that are just as comfortable as my white Birkenstock’s but a lot dressier!
Having size 11 feet the wide cross over detail would visually shorten my long feet (bonus deal!) and I would wear them with so many different combos: Printed white tee with light grey ripped skinny’s (go all neutral), wide leg white with navy pinstripe pants, white pleated halter neck and light weight navy cropped jacket, my faded denim mini skirt with a navy and white striped tee, my black bomber jacket with vintage floral embroidery and white jeans.
Hell, I could even wear them with my dressing gown to slip on and off putting the rubbish out! 😉 Perfect Summer footwear for a busy she boss Mum who usually defaults to jandals to go pick up Mr 7 from school. BTW I wouldn’t usually check out Zeira’s range of footwear for myself, as I always thought their range was a bit too conservative for me, so thanks Cait for showing me their new look slides!
I’d love the libra shoes… they’d be kinda cool with a skirt and tights for the winter. A real modern “librarian” look.
I really like the look of Toni but in Rose Gold. I am a real jandals girl in the summer and am happiest in one of my two pairs of Havaianas but jandals aren’t suitable in every situation so a pair of Toni sandals in Rose Gold would be the perfect, easy, slip-on shoes that I reach for every day, but a bit dressier than a pair of jandals!! Easy to dress up or down too. I’d either wear them with 3/4 pants and a flowy top or t-shirt and occasionally a dress.
I love the tonight slide in.silver.I think it would be amazing with navy stripes and a white outfit.xx
I’d choose the silver Toni sandals you had. love how they look with the white jeans. id then add a navy striped tee to go with it,
Would totally choose those silver Toni slides too! Love them 🙂
Love these shoes…..having a wide flat size 10 foot can often makes it hard to get style and comfort. I would die for the OBI in black. I could pair these up in down in so many ways. Below are a couple of examples
WORK: they could look fantastic with my fav black 7/8 tailored pants and my new resently purchased blush Max crochet top.
CASUAL: I have a pair of boyfriend jeans I love…..I wear these folded up but currently the only shoes I have to wear with them are my white chucks or jandals so would be super cool to have a nice pair of shoes that I could smarten them up with. For my smart casual look I would pair the shoes and jeans with a smart causal black tee and finshes it of with a stylish yet funky necklas.
Wow I love the Toni slip ons in the rose gold. I might pair them with a some skinnys and a blush off the shoulder top
I’d go for the Lita shoes in silver – they’d go with everything! My khaki shirt dress & big silver tote, my ink skinny jeans & over sized grey sweatshirt with silver spots, my knee length black shorts with an Egg top that has a grey leaf pattern. Comfortable shoes that would become part of my mummy’s uniform for summer!
I do like the look of those silver Toni slides. Comfy and stylish. The Uzo in orange patent is very nice too. I’m a Libran….I always have trouble making a decision 😳
Oooh so many pretty shoes to chose from but I think the Harper shoe in Dune-tan would work so well with most of the clothes I own. I work and am a mum so would wear with a navy dress with chunky gold necklace or tube skirt and t-shirt for work and then when I’m home with the girls they would instantly dress up skinny jeans, white t-shirt and scarf to make me look fab when I hit the supermarket!!
Wow so pleased your blog turned up on my FB news feed! Really nice to have someone put an outfit together so I can copy it ( I am the world’s worst shopper). Love the toni slide in silver. I have size 10 feet so finding a flattering shoe is always a mission. I have subscribed to your newsletter – my life has just become a whole lot easier. I have just bought Loobies Story white 3/4 pants and think this slide will look perfect with them. I can just see me relaxing at all the upcoming Christmas parties in comfort and style. Thanks heaps for the inspiration <3
I love the tarin sandals in silver and white. Metallic gives them a bit of glamour for a sandal. Paired with cotton linen summer dress, boyfriend jeans or denim shorts. Love that comfort can come with style. Thanks.
I would totally love the Joanie Women’s Shoe in any of the colours offered. I don’t really do heels (I live in Chucks and have 5 kids) but these are girlie and totally me stepping out of my comfort zone. I would pair them with my black Lisbon dress for going out with a necklace that matches the colour of the shoes. I would also try wearing them with a couple of skirts and I would totally rock them with my jeans – the best thing is I would be just as tall as three of my sons wearing them.
Would love love love the Toni slides!!!
Love the Toni Slide in the silver, I’ve had to completely rebuild my wardrobe after losing over 40kgs even need new shoes as my feet have even changed size these would just set off my wardrobe perfectly.
I live the toni slides in rose gold! These would be my go to summer shoes, perfect for being a busy mum as I love being comfy but trying to look nice at the same -the struggle is real so these would be amazing! Xx
The Toni slides in silver would look great with my jeans, or shorts or my favourite flowery skirt this summer! I’d love them!!
Would love a pair of the Toni’s in silver, to pair with Max draped pants and top. Loving your blog!
I love the Libra shoes. We live in the deep south where it can still be cold in the summer so these would be perfect with skinny jeans and a comfy top and a cardi.
Hi. I have ‘platypus’ feet. (Eg ‘very’ flat & wide), the ‘Toni’ slide would be the one for me!!! I would have to buy both the rose gold and the silver colour as I could see myself using these everyday, as finally there is a trendy slide with a lovely orthotic platform. My podiatrist would be pleased. The only outfit I wouldn’t wear these with would be my PJs.. Thanks for the opportunity. Cheers Kat.👍
I would style this on my very good friend Joanne McCreanor. She is a Chasing Cait devotee and always looks amazing! The one problem she and I both have are find classy but comfortable shoes for school; ones that you can kick off in class, wear to assembly AND hightail across our huge field in. We have a very strict dress code and rightly so, as we are role-models. Jo always looks stunning in her silver draped pants, denim jacket and white Petal and Pup tie top. The silver slides would top it off, because I’m going to get her a voucher for pretty Christmas toes! Plus, she’s an amazing teacher, friend, wife and mum. She often puts herself last. xxx
I love the Tarin sandal! I would pair these puppies up with my navy merino tshirt dress and my super cute skater style pleather (is that still even a word now?!) skirt with bright tees (mens shirts with the sleeves rolled up is my favourite thing right now) AND I’m pretty sure they would look awesome with my drop crotch trackies (not daggy btw!) and a loose tucked in singlet <3
I would love the Ziera “Toni” slides in silver. I have some old Zierra black sandals that I have loved but they now need replacing. I would wear the slides with my denim shorts, and striped top, also with my green singlet and reversible floral short skirt. Beautiful!
I would love the Harper sandal in tan. I would wear them with EVERYTHING this summer…shorts, pants, skirts <3
What a great prize. I would love the Toni slides in Rose gold – I’m obsessed with rose gold atm. I would pair them with everything this summer – my t- shirt dresses, my crop jeans, my chambray dress, skirt etc I just think they would be super versatile 😀
Ive been searching for a pink heel, and I think the Sheena would be perfect. I have a number of dresses I would love to wear them with 🙂
You have me sold! Love the “Toni” slide in silver. Love your style, stylish relaxed but not mumsy at all 👌
I love the Libra!
Toni’s With my one teaspoon shorts and oversized baggy white linen shirt. Yes, dreaming perfection.
I am seriously lusting over the Oracle Brouge in bronze……….I keep dropping not so subtle christmas hints to my husband! Ill be wearing them with shorts and off the shoulder tops, cute dresses, jeans and a cotton jumper for those warm evening bbq’s (Ill be wearing them everywhere!)
The toni slides in rose gold, would look awesome with denim shorts this summer and t-shirt dresses.
Love love love the Kitsch sandals. Either in black or silver…so pretty!! I really love those striped pants you’re wearing, they look so gorgeous & comfy!
Wish I saw you around town. You look beautiful amongst our rotorua landmarks. I’ve been following you for a couple of years and have friends hooked too. Thank you, I’m a 42 year old trend setter, thanks to you. Congrats on baby also xxx
awwww thanks Kevina 🙂 it was so lovely getting down there, such a gorgeous place, happy to show it off on the blog!
Im all about the casual so I would do the Toni slides in classic black with relaxed denim shorts and a supersoft neutral tee
I would also choose the Toni slides, but in the gold/bronze colour. They are gorgeous and a total win for us mummies!!
I would choose the Innes sandals, because they look modern and fresh, but also super comfortable. I would team them with a casual cowl neck dress made from a light grey stubby linen knit. I’d add a light summer scarf for a pop of colour (maybe fuschia and grey?). If I was cold and I’d throw on a denim jacket.
I live in jandals so the Toni slide in rose gold would be a perfect stylish replacement! Great to wear with my mum uniform – jeans and tee 🙂
Awesome post!!
Definitely start with the Toni slide in silver, it’s a no brainer choice in place of jandels and so much more stylish. I think they’d go with most outfits but particularly like the look with white jeans and a cold shoulder top
The Toni Slide in silver would be my choice. I’ve been looking for a shoe like this. I love that it’s both fashionable and comfortable! I would wear them with my new Max striped denim skirt that just doesn’t look quite right with jandals! It would make the walk to and from school much more enjoyable!
oooh i think I almost just bought that skirt! WAs it the one in the sale? great choice of both shoes and skirt
The Toni slides look amazing, might actually get me out of my jandals! Perfect for summer with any of my floaty summer dresses.
Hi – I’d be loving the Toni slide too in rose gold. Would be comfy & stylish for following kids around to summer sports!
I would love the oracle in bronze, feel like they would quickly dress up my mum uniform and make my feet feel pretty! Love the mettalics coming through.
Love the Toni slides but also think the Tarin sandals look pretty cool too!
I’d definitely go for the Toni in silver as I think they look so comfortable. I’d wear it with almost anything but a pair of cropped jeans would work well.
Would love the oracle shoes in black – perfect for this time of year. They would look great with my dresses or pants for work while still enabling me to look super stylish. Might also need to get some Rose gold Toni slides to slip on and off in the summer x
I love the toni slides too. But im leaning towards the litas. In either the metallic gold colour or the bright blue.
I have the tash jeans from feather and noise (in all colours -nutter ah?!) And would wear folded up to show the ankle and the shoes. But in reality if i won the voucher i would spash out and buy the litas and toni slides!! 😉 can never have too many shoes 🙂
Oh I’m a huge fan of buying something in every colour if you like it haha! In fact, I’m considering the Toni slides in the other two colours too as they are so comfy!
Oracle in bronze for my mum uniform of black ripped skinnies, loose black t (to hide the mummy tummy!) and black leather jacket. Let the shoes rock the outfit!
sounds like a cool outfit Kate!
I would try the Zara shoes, a bit of bling to spice up the shoe collection. Its something I would never normally go for but am branching out I would make that the vocal point of my outfit.
Great idea! I love a statement shoe!
I’d totally choose the Toni slide too in the silver I’d pair them up with so many things but I’d have to get myself a new handbag! Damn lol, I’m loving the idea of shirt dresses and a pair of these would be o so comfy but give a casual classy look and stop my feet aching too.
ooooh LOVE the idea of teaming them with a shirt dress!
I definitely think the Toni slides would be great. They would go perfectly with just about any summer outfit and what can possibly beat comfort as well as style 🙂
The Toni slide in silver would be my choice. A stylish step up from trusty jandals but still quick and easy to pop on with young kids to get out the door. I’d team them with my new summer Mum uniform – knit asymmetric pencil skirt and crisp white tee.
So true right? A little bit more stylish than a jandal, but just as easy to wear!
Yep Toni slides are definitely my pick too although I think I’d go for rose gold…perfect for casual Fridays at work, my more than full time mum gig at the park, the beach, and evety coffee shop I visit!
they are the perfect coffee-shop-shoe aren’t they Kelly 🙂
Ooooh quite a fan of the Toni in Rose Gold! Perfect for casual or wearing to work – which is pretty casual anyway. These would look fab with my new torn look jeans (a whole size smaller than usual) and my fave navy polka dot top!
ooOOooo sounds cool! I’m totally contemplating the other two colours too now
I actually love the Toni slide!!! These would look so good with my denim shorts and t shirt that are my standard mum wardrobe for summer ❤️❤️
haha I had them on today with a denim skirt and tee – #snap!
Tropic in denim would be me this summer..
Dressing them up with a bright coloured dress (coral or hot pink!) and big summer hat or black tee with capris or skirt for a classic bbq evening look..
oh good choice! Now we just need summer right? 😉
I love the salma slides, but my favourtie has to be the Tyra sandels in navy and silver. http://zierashoes.com/Style/870/tyra?cat=2&
So hard to choose but I’m also totally in love with the Toni sandal. Great for my flipper feet and they look incredibly comfortable 🙂 I would style them with a “Blooms” dress from ELM or ripped skinny jeans and boyfriend T.
they really are the shoe of the season aren’t they Kat! So versatile, which is why I love them
I am in love with the Silver Toni slides you are wearing – I can just tell that I would live in them all summer long! I love Zeira shoes they are so so comfortable and NZ company means you can buy guilt free 🙂
they are so good Natalie, and SO comfy! I’m wearing them practically every day
I love the Caprice in nude!
They would work with my Annah Stretton flipit (which I am loving right now!) or skinny jeans and a floaty top (with a light jacket given the current weather!).
P.s you might want to check the closing date under T’s & C’s…
Good choice Jodie!
(Oh thanks! #babybrain!)
I love these! The Toni slide, either in silver or rose gold 🙂
And heck, I would style these to go with everything. I love ziera shoes, and especially at the moment whilst I have a nasty Achilles injury! I’d style them with a maxi (skirt or dress!) for work, my Prima jeans and a tee/jacket for casual, and a lovely comfy tee shirt dress as well… I can think of soooo many ways!
oh ouch!! they are so good with everything – I wear them almost every day!
I’ve been experimenting with making an off-the-shoulder summer dress out of a mens’ business shirt by cutting the collar/shoulder section out and sewing an elastic casing into the top. Silver Lido loafers would really complement the menswear-as-womenswear look!
ooooOOOooooo that sounds really clever Helen!
THE PLAY AREA ENSEMBLE:
Obi in bronze is the one for me – for chasing kids, but stylishly!
Teamed with Rubi and Lilli tees and “distressed” jeans – REAL worn out knees!
(my favourite top’s “Viva la Brunch,” which translates to “I’ve made their lunch, so probably I’ll get to snack on what’s abandoned in their pack!”)
On top, my floaty Just Jeans scarf with dusty pink and deep blue flowers
It forms a flattering vertical line PLUS has face-wiping superpowers 😉
Stop it! that is frickin AMAZING!!!
The silver Lido shoes are awesome. I would would pair them with my new favourite outfit, a grey and navy stripe midi dress and grey scarf – perfect for spring.
ooooh I love these too! (It was hard for me to choose between the Lido’s and the ones I got, the Toni’s)
I love the Holly shoes in the metallic print. It’s still pretty cool in Christchurch, so I’d style these with skinny jeans, slouchy tee and my fave Ricochet black pleather jacket – perfect weekend wear!
sounds gorgeous Nicky! Hope you’re all AOK after the big earthquake!
Thanks for entering x
