What a massive few weeks here at Chasing Cait HQ (and when I say “here” for the next 6 weeks I’ll be writing all my blogs from my old school desk in my parents house in Sunny Brisbane as I’m once again over here for work with The Myer Centre, but more on that later!)
I thought another #everydaystyle round up was in order – but I also wanted to draw attention to THIS POST on my Facebook page last week. There is a motivation for posting my pics everyday, its not to show off, or get a reaction, it’s to INSPIRE and EMPOWER other women.
Anyway….
In case you are new to the blog, here is a little bit about what #everydaystyle is and why I do it (would you believe it’s NOT because I like having my pic snapped everyday!?)
Everyday Style is the brain-child of amazing blogging guru Nikki Parkinson from Styling You. She started Everyday Style so women everywhere could share their everyday looks, whether it’s for work, or play, or staying at home, or meetings, or party!
It’s about admiring the style of other women, and sharing looks that you have out together no matter you lifestyle or budget (I may have even bought a couple of things based on other’s Everyday Style pics!).
Whether you use it just as inspiration, or you literally buy the whole look piece-piece someone is wearing (I’ve TOTALLY done that), Everyday Style is a fun and useful way to get your fashion fix.

So NZ Fashion Week was last week – it’s a crazy week if you let it be, but always fun to frock up just that little bit more. Here’s what I wore….

TOP RIGHT ElevenParis dress from Shopbop*, Samvara leather jacket, Lovisa necklace, Rochas boots from Shopbop*

Here’s a couple of sneekl Auckland outfits before I left…
LEFT Samvara leather jacket, Eleven Paris top from Shopbop*, Zara skirt from Recycle Boutique, Kmart tights and Django & Juliette boots
RIGHT Sussan knit top and skirt, Kmart tights and Mbuba shoes (seriously, check these guys out – THE most comfy boots!)
And then a MASSIVE change of pace (well maybe not pace, but DEFINITELY temperature!) I’m back in Brisbane, working with The Myer Centre and LOVING the sunshine and mild temperature (although my legs could certainly do with a tan haha!)
Here’s what I’ve been wearing so far….
I’m wearing…..
TOP LEFT Toby dress from Recycle Boutique and Nine West wedges
TOP RIGHT Jeanswest tee, Sussan necklace, Portmans pants, Novo sandals and RayBan sunnies
MIDDLE LEFT ElevenParis dress from Shopbop*, Jacqui E denim jacket, Equip necklace and Converse sneakers

So the next 6 weeks will be (fingers crossed) full of sunshine and warmer weather, and then I’ll be home just in time for it to start warming up in NZ too 😉

Hi Cait,
That Samvara jacket is gorgeous! Is that the short or long version? Are their sizes standard, or do they run small/big? Would totally love one!
Thanks, Teresa 🙂
Hey Teresa, It’s such a good jacket! It’s short, so it’s crops at my waist. Mine is a size 8, but I ALWAYS buy a leather jacket really small because they strectvh. I would suggest going down at least one size – I can’t seem to get onto the Samvara shop website at the moment, but see how you go! x
Is your jacket the biker jacket? On their website it looks like the sleeves are slightly padded above the elbows.
it’s A biker jacket – but mine is about 7 years old! Straight sleeve, no detail 🙂
Thanks! Have a great weekend 🙂
