How to do your make-up with only 5 products

I’m NOT a morning person.

If I have to choose between sleep and spending 1/2 an hour doing my makeup, sleep wins every time!

Lucky for me, I have my morning “face” down pat! And most of the time it only takes 5 products!! Now I’m not saying that I only ever use 5 products, but when I’m rushed in the morning (which is more often than not, jus ask my husband) I can walk out the door feeling good with a face like this!

Here’s the run-down….

(I’m just going to preface this by saying I recently had AMAZE eyelash extensions done by the wonderful Rebecca at Lash Noir in Auckland CBD so that currently negates the need for mascara)

GET THE LOOK 1. Urban Decay Naked II palette approx $78 (NZ) from Sephora.com. This is not yet available on the NZ site so I had it shipped from the US. I used the 4th colour from the left (Chopper) to cover my lid, then used the second from the right deep brown (Busted) as an eyeliner. 2. Nars “Torid” blush from Mecca Cosmetica $48. I love this colour for everyday use. Sometimes I don’t have the time for all of the contouring and the bronzing so a whip of blush gives me some colour. 3. Lancôme Teine Idole Ultra 24H $72 from Farmers. Easy application, all day coverage. What more does a lazy-girl want! 4. Estée Lauder brow defining pencil $65 from Smith & Caugheys. I love me a good brow pencil and this one has a little brush on the other end to keep those pesky stray hairs in place. There’s something about a good brow that makes your face look “done” no matter what right? 5. Estée Lauder lipgloss. I have to admit, I don’t remember what this colour is of where it came from but its AMAZING! That perfect shade of pink that gives your lips and extra kick! As always, Estée Lauder delivers.

And here’s the final result! A nice, simple makeup look for everyday (especially those days when you’re in a hurry!)
