It’s a double whammy on Chasing Cait today with my review of the luxurious Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti Ageing Créme (read it here) AND today’s final wrap up of NZFW.

So yesterday, day three, was the final day for me at NZ Fashion Week this year. As much as I’d love to go along to every single show, I’m trying to make sure that the shows I DO attend are relevant to you guys – my readers.

I’ve loved bringing you the latest and the greatest from the catwalks, and getting you excited about what we will be wearing next Winter, but as of tomorrow, the blog will be back to normal programming, with tips and tricks to help you rock your everyday style TODAY!

But before we get back to normal life, let’s look at one more day with the Fash Pack

Sweetie, darling, darling, sweetie. mwah mwah.

Coat – Portmans | Top – ElevenParis from Shopbop $78* (I’m wearing the size 40) | Pants – Love Sadie from Shopbop $61* (I’m wearing the L) | Shoes – Melissa | Lipstick – FaceMe “julia” $29

If in doubt as to what to wear to a fashion event, add a coat over your shoulders – works every time.

THE RUNWAY

I only went to two shows yesterday, but boy were they good ones! Trish Peng was the first cab off the rank, and I have to say, this was possibly my favourite show of the week!

You could see the workmanship that had gone into the garments, the bold colours and simple, clean lines of the dresses were so elegant and sophisticated, yet playful and fun.

The hair and makeup definitely stood out in this show for me too – check out the amazing eye makeup the models were sporting (thanks to Smashbox) see more hair and makeup on the official Fashion Week Backstage Blog HERE.

The other day three show I attended was the much-anticipated COOP show. COOP in the younger (slightly more affordable) collection from design queen Dame Trelise Cooper.

Pop art and bright, bold prints mixed with muted tones of khaki and grey were the standouts on the runway (I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of pop art!). As always, the show was styled incredibly for the catwalk but you could also see yourself wearing most of these pieces in your everyday life, which is what is so appealing to me about the COOP label.

So NZFW is done and dusted for another year, for me anyway. BUT! If YOU want to get in on the action, why not pop along to New Zealand Fashion Weekend. Running THIS SAT and SUN, you can buy tickets to see the current season collections from all the designers that showed at NZFW. Rub shoulders with the fash pack in the three bars on site, rock your highest heels and get amongst it! MORE INFO HERE

(I, on the other hand, will be jumping on a plane to head across the ditch for 6 weeks of styling work in my home town of Brisbane, so keep an eye on the blog for more about that!)

Until Next Time,
