So as you have probably guessed but now, I’ve over here in sunny Brisbane (my home town for those of you that didn’t know that) working with The Myer Centre once again!
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, I’ll be bringing you a series of Spring trend updates to help you Elevate You Style, thanks to the amazing retailers in The Myer Centre.
Now kiwi peeps, never fear, this is still totally relevant to you! Most of the stores in The Myer Centre are also in NZ, and for those that aren’t I’ve checked and they ALL ship to NZ so you can still get your dirty little mits sorry, beautifully manicured hands, on everything I feature.
Trend number 1 is one of my faves – Art Class – Fashion takes inspiration from art in bold geometric prints
The Trend
SHOP THE LOOK: top – Witchery | skirt – Piper from Myer | Shoes – similar from Novo Shoes or Famous Footwear
Fashion has often sought inspiration from art and this season, the art class trend sees bold geometric prints and patterns on dresses, jumpsuits and tops for a strong statement look. Worn head to toe or just a splash through accessories or shoes, this trend is for the bold, daring and young at heart.
SHOP THE LOOK: one – Jacqui E dress $149.95 | two – Wayne by Wayne Cooper from Myer $149.00 | three – Witchery bralette $89.95 | four – Bardot shorts $69.95 | five – Novo ballet flats $39.95
Styling Tip
If a bold print is completely outside of your comfort zone, opt for a more subtle abstract version and pair it back with a solid neutral colour. Or start with an accessory to dip your toe in the water.
I like this trend for people that don’t dig florals – it’s a little more edgy and you can still get your print-fix without feeling like you stepped out of a field of tulips.
Is this a trend you can see yourself wearing? How would you wear it? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to hear
Until Next Time,
In Love & Style Always

I love this trend! I have a pair of leather flats with a painted floral print that I think fits the bill perfectly, but I’m totally crushing on your skirt so I think I might be on the hunt for something similar 🙂
oooooh they sound fun!
the skirt is definitely perfect for this trend! There will be a few similar around 🙂
