Last week I was lucky enough to skip across the ditch to Auckland for the very first New Zealand Fashion Festival. Differing from the traditional Fashion Week, us plebs general public are invited to purchase tickets and partake in the fun and frivolities that are a fashion festival!

This blog is going to be a little different (it’s ok, don’t cry, my witty repartee will be back next time), but this is all about the images that I took. Not of the shows, not with a fancy DLR camera that weighed more that my check in luggage (NOTHING could have weighed more than my check in luggage thanks to all the shoes I took) but with my trusty iPhone!

So without further ado (or as my darling little brother would say, piss-farting around) here is my NZ in puctures (sorry pictures. The accent must have rubbed off…)

Hidden treasure - once again, right in the CBD of Auckland, The Chancery is a quaint little shopping precinct all but hidden from view. Gorgeous!

Opening night outfit for NZFF. Blazer from Max (a wicked NZ chain store), tee by CottonOn, leggings by Country Road, necklace from Stefan (I know right?!?) and shoes from Wittner.

Had to take a closeup of the shoes - I love them (but they don't love my feet! ouchy!)

Helping out the NZgirl's at NZFF. Handing out prizes to competition winners - yum!

OMG I found another one! This one was at Britomart, the new 'place to be' in Auckland.

Had a blast helping out the awesome team at nzgirl (make sure you check out their website! Full of great ideas, even for us rascals over this side of the ditch. www.nzgirl.co.nz)

Sneaky shot of the runway before a show one night at NZFF.

By day two I was well and truly over the heels. Think I'm going to have to hand in my 'fashionista membership' pass. I just can't do heels anymore!

I couldn't help it - just had to rub in a little more how spectacular the weather was! (Apparently it's not always like that?!?)

Back on Aussie soil after an amazing trip! (but man, the three-hour time difference is a killer!)

It was a whirlwind trip, but one that was VERY worth while (more on that shortly!)

Thank you so much to the team at nzgirl (especially Jenene and Jo) for letting me e a part of the team for a little while.

And to my darling ‘in-laws’ (well not technically, but you know what I mean) thank you for playing taxi at all hours of the day and night (don’t catch the 7am flight from Auckland ya’ll – it’s a killer!)

See you real soon NZ xx
