If I told you winter was on its way to New Zealand, you wouldn’t believe me! If you have seen the weather we have been having lately, you’d think we are living an endless summer (I wish!)
I was off to see a personal styling client this morning and while this amazing weather is still with us, (because I know winter will come strong and swift!) I want to get as much wear out of all my pretty summer frocks as I can!
This is the latest addition to my wardrobe – a cute little 50’s frock from New Zealand label Jill & Ange. The label is designed and made right here in New Zealand and is the brain-child of sisters, Jillian and Angela (just in case you were wondering how they came up with the name of the label, I think it has something to do with their first names…..just sayin‘)
I picked up this neat little piece at last weekend’s Designer Garage Sale here in Auckland…..
It fits me like a glove! Love it
How cute is the sleeve detail, and as usual, I had my ‘cait’ ring on
But can you keep a secret? My favourite part of the whole outfit…… MY SHOES!!! They smell like strawberries (they really do, a friend of mine made me take them off in a bar so she could smell them….. and then made the bartender smell them too…. awkward!)
Seriously, they are made from rubber – and they are soooooo comfortable!
My cute shoes are from the Brazilian brand – Melissa  have you heard of them? if not, look them up now. NOW! (click here for the Aus/NZ site). All their shoes are made from recycled rubber – they have collaborated with amazing designers like Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Jason Wu. Did I mention they are seriously THE most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! (not one to ever exaggerate…)
If you haven’t already, get yourself a pair! (they do flats, heels, wedges so there is NO excuse!)
