I know, I’m pushing it! Spring is not quite here yet (a girl can dream can’t she?)Β But it was relatively mild today in Auckland and I was talking about style to a bunch of people so I thought a dress was the best option!

A couple of weeks ago I was asked to speak to a group of support staff at schools (teachers aids, admin staff) about STYLE. We talked about personal style, body shapes and the importance of dressing appropriately in the workplace (yes, we also talked about not wearing leggings as pants – I couldn’t help myself!).

I pulled out my fave little Portmans dress for the occasion. I love this dress for many reasons. The print is gorgeous and works well in winter (with black tights and boots) and in summer (with bright coloured shoes found in the print). I did a bit of both today with a blazer to keep me warm, but I braved bare legs and colourful shoes!

A touch of turquoise with the shoes and the necklace add a little bit of excitement (trying to walk in those heels may have caused a little bit of excitement too just quietly!)

What I’m wearing:

Dress: Portmans (get one like it here)

Blazer: Portmans

Shoes: Wittner Shoes

Necklace: Forever New

Bag: Colette Accessories

What are you looking forward to wearing when the weather gets warmer? Are you like me and pull out the next seasons clothes when the temperature changes by one degree? I’d love to know! Leave a comment below….
