OK, so we know I’m obsessed with maxi dresses. And we know I’m obsessed with Australian fashion designer, Sacha Drake. So in this post I COMBINE THE TWO! GENIUS!

Had a little “do” to go to, but nothing too fancy was required in the dress-code so I went straight to my fail-safe outfit: Maxi and sandals. More specifically, a Sacha Drake maxi dress – one of my favourite things in the whole world!!

And to add to my excitment this summer, my fave accessories chain, Colette by Colette Hayman has arrive in NEW ZEALAND (I’m still waiting for Target though ya hear!). I celebrated by purchasing this black bag – you likey?

Thought I’d throw in a bit of colour  and metallics for summer so shoes and belt were added (And yes, I FINALLY got around to giving myself a pedi!!! Shows off my tan rather nicely don’t you think?). Don’t feel like you need to match your shoes to your belt, to your bag – as long as there is some sort of feature that ties them together – in this case, they all had gold detail.

Wearing a maxi dress really is one of the easiest ways to look stylish in summer! I’m still surprised that so many of my personal styling clients don’t own one!

The trick is to find a maxi that suits your shape (this one is awesome because it suits everyone!)
