I counted. I have FIVE pairs of gold shoes. I think I’m obsessed. These one’s at least are The Boys fault. Let me explain….

I said that I wanted a pair of cool brogues for the cooler months, something a little warmer than a ballet flat. I started searching online, and saw these beauties from Jeffery Campbell on the Nasty Gal site (terrible name, AMAZING shoes! thanks Jo Faith for the heads up on the shoes on this site!)

But how is it The Boy’s fault I hear you say. WELL! He said that I was allowed to buy them if I posted a picture on my Facebook page and got 10 likes or more. Challenge accepted. I got over 50 likes in less than an HOUR! (thanks team).

So without any more arguments, they were on their way to me …… (if you want ’em, here’s where you can get ’em – thanks to Jeffery Campbell)

oooOOOooo SHINY gold shoes…

The trick with shiny gold shoes (or shiny, gold anything for that matter) is to make the outfit all about the shoes! If I tried to wear these shoes with crazy prints, or bold colours, these amazing shoes would loose some of their sparkle. The rest of the outfit needs to support and compliment the shoes, without overpowering them. So this is what I wore them with…

Shiny gold shoes, with black jeans from Veronika Maine, white blazer from Zara and white singlet from Big W

A blazer and a high pony always makes me feel a little more stylish

The gold necklace ties the look together, but everything else is kept simple and neutral
