Shorts are the great divider. You either LOVE them or HATE them. I think part of that comes down to what you think of your legs, actually, scrap that, I think ALL of it comes down to what you think of your legs, and in the scheme of things, my legs aren’t too bad, so I guess I’m in the shorts love club!
It’s been nice and warm here in Auckland for the last few weeks, but the wind has been a bit pesky so sometimes shorts just feel a little safer than a skirt (know what I mean? undies flashes are NOT a good look).
These printed shorts I scored on sale at Portmans are the perfect mix of dressy and casual. This outfit was for an at-home client visit so I don’t want to be too dressed up, but I still want to look professional. PLUS when I asked The Boy what I should wear this morning (it happens often) he said ‘wear something yellow’ so I have obliged….
I’m wearing…..
Portmans black basics tee 2 for $40
Rubi Shoes ballet flats normally $14.95 but 3 for $10 now!
Bag from Thailand markets

Love the outfit!
I am totally a love shorts kinda girl. Love shorts casually, but equally love them with a dressy top and heels! Cant get enough of them at this time of year.
I totally agree – such great versatility in shorts if you do it right isn’t there!
Love the idea of wearing shorts for an at home client meeting – and love the splash of yellow too. Great outfit!
Thanks 🙂
I love the shorts/blazer combo and the pop of yellow is fab.
Just as well you’re marrying the boy – he’s got good taste 🙂
he does indeed xx
