Well if you’ll be where I’m heading, the answer is not much! (Wait, that’s not like it sounds! I just mean it will be hot and I will be at the beach so togs are on the menu for me…..ehm….. anyway….)
Saying that, I do love the tradition of picking a fun, festive frock to wear on Christmas Day – do you go REALLY festive (like red, and green) or just a subtle nod to the festive season with white, or metallic.

A couple of readers have asked my advice on where and how to find the perfect Christmas Day frock so I’ve put in the hard yards and found a few beauties I thought you might like too!
1. The Maxi Moment
I LOVE a maxi dress anytime, but Christmas Day is made for maxis! Swan around with a loose dress (air flow for that hot and humid air), bare feet because no one can see under your dress, and plenty of room for second helpings haha! Here are my picks

SHOP THE FROCKS (l-r) Country Road maxi $229 | Lucciola maxi dress from the Chasing Cait Shop $109 | Max lace trim maxi dress $104.99
2. Short and Sweet
If it’s super-hot, or you just wanna get your legs out (go you!) then these pretty summer sun dress options are perfect. If your Christmas ‘do’ is a little more classy than just sitting around and stuffing your face with prawns and ham, then just add a wedge to one of these little frocks and you’re done! (PS the Bohemian Traders dress is currently at the top of my list for Christmas Day – those colours!)

SHOP THE FROCKS (l-r): Bohemian Traders Wanderlust dress $118.71 | Just Jeans embroidered sun dress $69.95 | Max drape pocket dress $89.99
3. Christmas-themed dresses
If you really want to get into the full Christmas theme, here are a couple of options that will have you camouflaged into the Christmas Tree in no time – just add tinsel right?

SHOP THE FROCKS (l-r): Capture dress from EziBuy $66.99 | Country Road print dress $229.00 | Asos bow-front dress $58.44
So many dresses, so little time! Are you a ‘dress for Christmas Day” girl too? Or do you just wear your PJ’s all day haha!
Until Next Time, In Love & Style Always

Hi Cait. I love a good maxi, but more inclined to wear a maxi skirt. Where is your maxi skirt from in your 1st photo? Thanks!
Hey Teresa, it’s actually a dress too 🙂
