This is not rocket-science I know, but I’m so surprised at the looks I get from my personal styling clients when I give them this one simple trick to make their legs look longer!
(For the record, it also makes your waist look smaller and covers your tummy but we’ll get to that too…)
Ok, so want to know what you are going to do?
Ready for it?
Do you trust me?
Here it is…….
You just TUCK YOUR TOP IN!
Yup. It’s THAT SIMPLE.

I think, as a generation, we’ve forgotten where our waist is, and more importantly, how to define it (regardless of whether we think we have one or not).
By simply tucking your shirt or top into a skirt, pants, or shorts, you are creating the illusion that your legs start higher than they do – therefore making them appear longer. Simple, but genius really.
What do you think? Are you going to give it a go? Trust me, it REALLY works!

Tan heels or light coloured heels with an ankle strap. And always wear hem on or above the knee. 3/4 pants make everyone look short
all of the above for sure!
Hi Cait, slightly unrelated question – any hints for the best way to wear pants like this if you’re not a size 6 like the model? I’m an hourglass size 16, and although these are the comfiest pants I’ve ever bought and great fabric for summer I’m worried I’ll look like an 80 year old pensioner in them (it’s the elasticised waist and draping that worries me!)

Thanks 🙂
Heya! heels all the way is the key!
OR…. roll up the hem of the pants once or twice to expose your ankles 😉
And, as the blog post suggests, TUCK EVERY TOP IN with these pants too!
Sweet, that’s one thing I already do 😀 I’m pretty clueless I’ll admit when it comes to wearing clothes to suit your shape, but it’s good to know I’ve got one thing right!
haha yay!!
