I remember as a kid, always begging mum (remember Mum?) to take me to the charity stores to try to find clothes on the cheap (see, I have always been a bargain hunter) but I guess as I got older, the novelty wore off and new, shiny stores started to attract my attention a lot more! Now I have friends who are FIERCE charity-store shoppers! They come home with the most incredible finds, but most of us don’t think we can do that right?
Wrong! You know that saying “what is old is new again”, well it really is in today’s blog post! I am lucky enough to be involved in the Lifeline “So You Thing You Got Style” competition that is running on the Lifeline Stores facebook page at the moment. The girls behind the page are trying to encourage ALL of us to think about shopping at Lifeline’s retail stores for NEW additions to our wardrobe, not just giving our old ones away!
Kirstine O’Donnell (one of the girls behind the competition) and I recently visited a Lifeline Store to see what we could see…. the VERY FIRST DRESS that I saw in the window was none other than a fabulous SACHA DRAKE frock from a few seasons ago – I kid you not (is this the look of a face that would lie to you) and guess what ladies! It was only $30! You can’t even get a SACHA DRAKE dress on eBay for that!! Bargain!
So my initial excitement on finding the SACHA DRAKE dress didn’t war off as I looked through all the amazing clothes on the racks of Lifeline Lutwyche. Top Shop, Cue, Saba, Nine West, Levis just to name a few. There was heaps from Katies, Rockmans, Crossroads and Sussan too – ALL from that one Lifeline Store.
