OK, OK, I’m totally on the bandwagon!
I didn’t use to be an animal print fan (for me! Looks fab on others), but it’s one of those prints that has just gotten under my skin.
Saying that, I still don’t really do the traditional brown leopard print – it’s just not my colour, BUT I have been embracing other colours and print styles.
There are SOOO many to choose from at the moment, it’s an animal print washout right?
But if it’s not a print you’ve had much to do with before, and you want to jump on the bandwagon like me, here are a few of my expert tips on doing just that.
1. Start Small
Like any new print, if you’re not sure, start with accessories. There are SO many options out there from shoes to bags to earrings to belts, so just add a pop to a classic black or white look and you’re good to go.
2. Find the print/colourway that suits you.
Like I said, the traditional brown tones don’t really work on me, so I’ve just gone for other colours and patterns that do (Decjuba is KILLING it with the black and white animal prints right now btw)
3. Match it back with neutral
If you’re not sure how to work this print into your wardrobe, start with wearing it with something simple. Black or white is a good place to start.
And then as you get more adventurous, start wearing it with different colours (and even another print if you’re bold – it looks great with a navy stripe)
See? It’s not as scary as you think haha! If I can do it, anyone can, and to get you really feeling it, here are a few more of my favourite animal prints styles you can get your hands on right now.
