If you’re like me, when you find a piece you really love, you want to wear it all of the ways in all of the colours right?

That’s how I feel about this gorgeous, and super-versatile, cardigan from my friends over the ditch at Birdsnest. The stunning, “Falling For You” cardigan, from one of their in-house labels, Boho Bird, is functional, versatile, and comes in a whole bunch of colours!

So when the team asked me to put together a wee 1 item, 3 ways video using this great cardigan, and some other amazing Birdsnest styles, my only question was “which colour cardi do I choose!” – spoiler alert. I chose the rust colour…

LOOK #1 – Boho Style

The old ‘cardigan over the maxi dress’ is fast becoming a favourite winter look of mine! It’s fun, and feminine, but also relaxed and casual.

Use the colours in the prints of a dress, top or skirt to show you which colour cardi to match with it – you don’t always have to default to black over the top of everything. I love how the rust cardigan picks up on the autumnal colours in this print.

LOOK #2 – Warm and Cosy

You don’t always have to wear your heaviest layer on top!

I love how this cardi looks layered over the yummy roll neck jumper. The longer sleeves poke out the end of the cardi, so I just folded them over to make it a styling detail.

Add detail by tucking the knit and adding a belt to your jeans – some fun trainers make this the perfect weekend sport-watching look!

LOOK #3 – Work Wear

Who said you can’t smarten up a cardigan for work! The cocoon-style is elegant and chic and you won’t be complaining about the cold air conditioner anymore haha.

I’ve pair it with some cropped pants (ankle boots would work with this look too) and a sleeveless blouse, but you could add a longer sleeve and longer pants for the same effect.
