All my style dreams come true with of my favourite styles combined – the jumpsuit + culottes.
Jumpsuits are so easy to wear! I love they they are one piece, so you don’t have to worry about matching top and bottom, but also – not a dress.
Culottes for me are the pants of the Summer (even though we aren’t there yet, I’m calling it early). There are so many different cuts and fabrics, there is definitely a pair out there for everyone. They are lightweight, and versatile… which is why I’ve teamed up with Farmers and chosen this cool piece for the latest post in my 1 item, 3 ways series.
So here is the jumpsuit on the model….
SHOP IT HERE: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99
So why is it so good? I think this is such a cool base piece for any situation (as you’ll see shortly). There is nothing crazy in the colour or the print, so you can really put your own style stamp on it!
Also, the length is quite versatile! If you’re small in stature, it will be a nice ankle cropped length, or if you’re tall like me, you can play with a heel or a flat to change the dressiness of the jumpsuit.
So let’s get stuck into the three different ways I’ve styled this gorgeous, useful addition to your Spring/Summer wardrobe….
Classic Monochrome
Play up the classic black and white with monochrome accessories. This look is perfect for work or play, you could also add a black (or white) blazer for the cooler mornings. If you want to add a pop of colour, add a red lip or nail.
THE LOOK: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99 + Andrea Moore sunnies + Decjuba clutch + Senso heels
Expert Styling Tip: Define your waist with the jumpsuit tie, but make sure it sits on your natural waist – which is higher that you might think. Let the jumpsuit sit where it naturally wants to sit, rather than trying to pull the waist down too much. (this will also make your legs look longer)
GLAM IT UP
You don’t always have to always just wear a piece the way it’s intended to be worn. Have fun with things! By adding a lace top to the culottes, you’ve got the option of creating a completely different look.
I’ve added a gorgeous lace top, also from Farmers State of Play brand, to make this look more work-appropriate (arm coverage). I’ve just removed the belt from the jumpsuit, and voila! Turned it into a pair of pants.
You could also try this look with a tee (just tie a little knot at the waist) or even just a jumper for a more casual version.
THE LOOK: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99 + State of Play 3/4 sleeve, cotton lace top in black $109.99 + “Saben Frankie” Bag $389 + Decjuba heels
Expert Styling Tip: A heel will help elongate your leg with this style on pant. The pointed toe of the pump also makes your leg look longer, and for even more bonus length, try a nude version of this heel
Fun and Casual
A denim jacket and trainers work with literally everything in my books! The fabric of the jumpsuit can be dressed up or down, and adding a touch of denim will add a casual element to any outfit. This is such an easy option for the weekend hanging out with the family, but it’s something a little different from just the usual jeans and tee uniform.
THE LOOK: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.95 + denim jacket (similar from Farmers here $89.99 ) + Marc Jacobs sunnies + Converse trainers
Expert Styling Tip: When you’re buying a denim jacket, try going down a size. It will be a neater fit through the body, won’t add as much bulk and will create a slimmer line through your body. Also, cuffing the sleeves to expose the wrists is a great tip to take some more bulk out of the style.
So there you have it my loves, one versatile piece three different ways. This is one of those styles that is really worth trying on, even if you don’t think it will suit you, I know you will be pleasantly surprised. So make sure you head into a Farmers store near you and have a play!

Am loving the denim jacket look! Great trans-seasonal piece
Love it with the denim jacket.
The classic Monochrome is my fav because I like the idea of wearing black & white with black accessories which I have & a pop of colour, I’d wear read lipstick!
This has left me wanting a jumpsuit, who knew there were so many ways to wear! My go to would be glammed up with a nice pair of heels – Love!
Definitely the style with denim jacket! As a mom of 2 crazy boys, the casual yet stylish look with denim jacket is so suitable for mom. Plus, I could coordinate with my boys as well with the jacket.
I love it casual with denim and trainers. Still dressy enough to wear to work on Fridays but comfortable and great for the busy mum lifestyle!
Love them all! But my favourite is Glam it Up! Probably because as a mum of 4 getting dressed up for a night out doesn’t happen very often but when it does it’s so much fun 😂
haha tell me about it! (and I’m only a mother of 1!!)
Mine is the casual look. having two kids I’m always running around and I love how this looks feminine however still super practical. B x
I love the fun and casual styling, because that’s me at heart!
I love the lace top look. Gives arm coverage but without the weight. I have always ruled out jumpsuits but you’ve got me thinking! 😘🤔
I love it a bit glam!! However I do love all the looks
Classic monochrome! Simple and chic! Love it.
Definitely glam it up! Love a good black jumpsuit with a statement necklace. Can’t beat it on a windy day!
haha that is definitely true!
I live it with the lace top added. I would not have thought to do this this and love how such a simple trick adds so much versatility to the piece!!!! Thank you for this great trick and for showing how versatile one pice can be xx
Glam!
I think initially I’d be all over the heels as my inner voice would be telling me they are frumpy (and reliving bad intermediate memories of many moons ago when I used to wore them)
Then after a bit of confidence building, id go to the sneakers! Cos Mum life 😂
haha mum life all the way 😉
I’m a bit more of a casual dresser so the third option appeals to me but I think you’ve pulled off all three so effortlessly! I jumpsuit is not an item I would consider wearing, I can’t imagine it would flatter my apple shape, but I do love 3/4 pants!
I think you’d be pleasantly surprised with the right jumpsuit Lou! Don’t ever discount something until you’ve actually tried it on 😉
I love the glam look, I’d totally wear it to work!
Not normally a fan of this style but I loved how the addition of the black lace top transformed the entire look 👌❤
Hey, I wouldn’t have normally picked this out but I love the idea of the classic monochrome look with a blaser for that work outfit with a difference. Especially with the red lippy. Great for heading out to Friday night drinks afterwards too!
As a busy mum to two boys I am always fun and casual but in saying that I loved the monochrome look to!
Totally the casual – I’m 46 and 5 foot nothing, and until today was under the illusion there was no way I could ever rock a jumpsuit – guess I was wrong!
this is THE perfect jumpsuit for you then – in fact, I think the length works better if you’re smaller
Fun and casual – love that everyday look for sure when running around after two littlies.
Fun and cas for my vote! Is that the denim jacket you stock?
Love the casual look. I am all about a classic casual denim jacket and white sneakers. My favourite denim jacket s from Decjuba and I always get great compliments when I wear it!
The denim and jacket for sure! I already have white sneakers so they only thing missing is the denim and jumpsuit.
I love how it’s casual but still super stylish… and that’s the mom look I want to rock cos it can go from casual home mum to super sexy cool mum just by brushing my hair and adding some eyeliner before I walk out the door 😂
haha isn’t it amazing what a different brushing our hair can make 😉
I like the ‘Glam it Up’ style best as I’m pretty short so without heels 👠 I would look terrible in this outfit. Love how adding the cute lace top instantly gives it a totally different look.
The mum in me loves the casual but fun look but because I’m such a short arse, I’d have to pair these with a heel. So I’d choose the monochrome with a pop of colour for the win!
Comfy and casual with denim jacket and trainers
Definitely fun and casual is my fave. Such a fresh summer look.
I’m all about the denim jacket as super comfy, easy breezy. Having said that if I won the voucher I’d be tempted to try the lace look, as a change is as good as a holiday and it’s nice to try something new – inspired by fabulous fashion blogs ..
I love the casual look with denim jacket and sneakers, perfect for everyday as a mum of 2 young children.
Ooh I love it casual – looks great with the denim jacket!
Classic monochrome with a red lip 😘😘😘
Fun and Casual…awwesome fresh and funky look for summer. Love them all!
I love it with the lace top and heels – very glam!
Definitely fun and casual with the denim jacket and white trainers. A great summer look.
I live the casual as I think it fits the most with my current style. However, I think I’d choose glam as it totally looks amazing and I never would have thought to do that myself
Love the the demin jacket look … Ned to update my wardrobe as gone from corporate to working in a manufacturing site and this will be prefect
Love it with the black lace top – you make the jumpsuit so versatile. Will be straight into farmers when it’s on spesh!!!
Denim and trainers for the win. Love the style and ease. Styley transitional clothing: spring into summer, daggy Mummy into hawt Mumma. Great tips 😘
I would go for the casual look with sneakers. I am a mum of two so comfort and practicality are paramount especially when my two year old does a turbo charged run for it. Casually walking along admiring every leaf then breaking into a sprint Usain Bolt would be proud of, lol.
Love the glam because of how good it looks on you! Never would’ve considered a jumpsuit until I read your blog… thanks!! P.s you look HOT!
haha thanks Kelly! x
Denim jacket and sneakers perfect for casual Sunday brunch 😊
Love it with the lace!! Would never have thought of doing that myself! Plus I can’t go past a heel…
I love the denim jacket and sneakers, perfect for the school run
GLAM IT UP!!
I live the lace top over it, and to be honest I’m sick of being so casual all the time!!
sometimes it’s fun to dress up a little isn’t it Rachel 🙂
Love seeing how you’ve worn it…wouldnt of even considered wearing it myself until I read your post. Love the fun and casual….perfect for a busy mum. And what a fab holiday essential this would be… so many ways to wear.
yay!!! So good for a holiday wardrobe!
Wow! Love this. Might just go try on a jumpsuit. I loved how you showed the 3 different ways. Makes it such a versatile piece. Looks amazing with a heel but also love the casual look with white sneakers and denim jacket.
yay! they really are super-versatile 🙂
Love love love the idea of the jumpsuit,as you have shown how to wear one 3 amazing ways. The thought of me in a jump suit scares me but after reading your blog I am totally going to try one on ❤️ I love all 3 ways but I’m more of the casual girl so denim jacket and white converse sneakers would be my choice, I have these items in my wardrobe already so just missing the jumpsuit 😁 Caitlin and Farmers “you rock “
They really aren’t as scary as you think haha x
love the casual look with the denim jacket! perfect for a mama of three 🙂
I love the fun & casual – as it suits my lifestyle and also, I already own the other pieces (including a one-size down denim jacket based on your advice).
I liked the casual look with the denim jacket
Would never have thought to style it with sneakers and denim jacket but love the look! Fun and casual 👍😁😎
OMG denim jacket + trainers goes with LITERALLY everything in my books haha
I absolutely love the fun casual style but my wardrobe is lacking pieces that can be dressed up so for me I would glam it up with block heels and and a leather jacket worn sitting on the shoulders.
I love the casual look with a denim jacket and white sneakers! I could totally wear that to my work.
I LOVE the fun and casual look. Exactly what I need to make me look and feel ‘off duty’ 😍
I would dress it down. Perfect with a wee light sweater and converse or I would be looking at slides and a wide rim hat for summer. As a stay at home mum though I would probably be accessorising with sticky honey fingers, paint, sand, and unfortunately a bit of runny nose! Oh the glamour
Love the glam it up look. So easy to do, never would of thought if it. Thanks😀
Love love it with the denim jacket. Such a effortless look. It would be great with a leather jacket also for going out! Would love to win the voucher so I can buy myself the outfit as I don’t have a denim jacket and I so need one 🙂
Really like number two with the lace top as covers the arms and would be great for work. Live in the Deep South so we need to layer as we get all seasons in one day. Also like clothes where at the end of the day an change my shoes and go to kids sports and still be comfortable and feel that this outfit could take you to both stylishly.
I love it teamed up with the denim jacket. It is so versatile like this. I would wear it to work or on weekends.
Love the glam look! However, I’m a bit (okay…a lot) lacking in the height department so don’t think I could ever pull this off! You look great!
No not at all! this jumpsuit is actually perfect if you are shorter, the length will actually be better on you than it is on me! Don’t ever say something won’t work on you (for ANY reason) until you try 😉
I love both ways, If only could find a jumpsuit that fits properly!
Fun and casual would suit my life more, altho nice to have option to glam it up!!
I love them all! But I think if I had this then I’d be dressing it up for the office. Will have to try next time I’m in a farmers store am hopping it will look just as good on someone short!
do you know, I think it will look better because the pants will be a better length!
I love the fun and casual style. I can see how this would fit in my wardrobe already. Love your 1 item, 3 look posts!
I love the work look, thanks for the tip on the pointed shoes elongating the leg!
Be great to put on one thing, add a jacket and go.
Thanks
I love the denim jacket and trainers look, I’m a casual girl but this still looks quite smart and easy to wear.
Fun and casual would be my go to outfit! After having my son I am all for comfort and casual! I would love to win a $100 voucher to purchase a piece of clothing that actually fits me and makes me feel amazing after being pregnant and living in track pants for the past 9 months!
haha I hear ya!
Love the Fun and Casual look! Never pictured myself in a jumpsuit, but would be so easy to slip in to, before slipping out the door to do the drop offs! As well as smart enough to meet the girls for brunch 🌞☕️🌞🍦🌞
I really love it with the denim jacket, it looks really awesome together! I guess I like it the most because it’s more casual and I relate to casual styles more (being a stay at home mum). And love the tip about denim jacket styling!
I would wear with my denim jacket which I bought after my styling session with you. Btw thanks for your help.. I also bought a whistles winter coat I love at farmers and a I AM bomber jacket I love on the couple warms days we’ve had. Thanks heaps
Definitely the casual option, looks young and fresh!
I love the glam look but even with pumps I feel I will be too short to pull this off. I love how easily changed the looks are.
I live in my converse on the weekends so the casual look is my fav!
Love the casual look…the contrast of the blue against the monochrome.
Would never of thought I could wear a jump suit, but this looks fabulous. I’m in a tie with the glam and casual looks…stunning!!
they are so much easier to wear than people think 🙂 x
I am loving this jumpsuit! I think the first look is my fave with those gorgeous lace up heels but I also love it with the lace top too, such a good idea for work. I think I may have to go and pay Farmers a visit! X
well worth it, let me know how you go! x
Casual but I like all the looks – have to pop in and try them
Glam it up – looks awesome for work or a night out. Heading out to buy tomo 😄 Love the blog. Michelle
I love the fun and casual look, I’m a mum, I’m also a Personal Trainer, I need comfortable. I have this denim jacket, bought from you, it’s fantastic on and I would rock this look all day baby!! If it feels good then go for it I say.
sounds like the perfect piece for you!!! x
My fab with the denim jacket looks so dang cool on you x swoon!
Fun and casual for me for sure, and a denim jacket is next on my list of purchases too. I thought my demon jacket years were over with, but now I NEED one
Fun and casual! Get me out of my blue jeans mummy uniform! Good school holiday look.
I actually took him along to Farmers today and bought it. I love it. And he said it looks good! I am not a huge shorts person as I don’t like my knees. So this fits the bill.. We are off to Fiji next week with our 18 month old and the jumpsuit will be perfect!
yay!! sounds perfect then 🙂 have fun on the holiday, I’m heading to Vanuatu in two weeks with the 14-month-old!!
Casual for when I’m ‘mumming’ but love that I could wear it to work too!
I tried this on yesterday. It looked awesome. I said to my husband later that I tried it on and I showed him this blog post and he said “oh that sort of thing only looks good on really skinny women”. 🙁 I disagreed with him.
Then you’ll just have to prove him wrong!! (Meanwhile, was he implying that A – it didn’t look good on me? Or B – that I’m really skinny? If A, then *raspberry* to him ;-), if B – that just proves he’s wrong, cause I sure ain’t “really skinny!”) haha
and NUMBER ONE RULE – if YOU feel good in it, that’s all that counts xx
Loving the jumpsuit And its versatility. Sneakers and jacket laidback look or dressed up with Heels it’s a winner
Fun and casual for this mum! But more cooler and smarter than the usual mum uniform!
Jean jacket and sneakers, seems like it’s quite loose fitting which makes me think casual.
Fun and Casual is a bit of me! But totally love the glam look too!
I never would have picked this up in the shops but Cait, you’ve shown me the error of my ways! I’m actually loving the versitility of this so much I’m finding it hard to choose between the three looks, but if pushed I’d say the casual look. As a mum this looks really comfy but super cool st the same time!
oh yay! It’s my duty to bring you all of the things that you wouldn’t pick up yourself 😉
Fab styling ideas, such a versatile jumpsuit 👏 For me it has to be the casual style with the Denim jacket and kicks. So I can keep up with my boys 👟
Wow! Such a great item to have! I’ve just started a new job and this would be a great wardrobe staple. I love the look of it paired with the lacy too and heels! My sister and I have bought quite a few things that you have mentioned on your blog – I find your posts so helpful and we trust what you say about the clothes 🙂
oh thanks Kate! Happy to help x
Loving the glam look and expert tips on styling…thanks for sharing – we all need a little help!
Opening my eyes again to a piece I would walk by. I like the casual look (and love the pockets in the jumpsuit), but how about a half and half, denim jacket and heels.
oooooh for sure!!!! that would be awesome too 🙂
Fun & casual.
I always have difficulty finding casual outfits that are still smart and comfortable. I think you nailed it with this look.
thanks Kelly! I think thats my fave too
I think I prefer the work-appropriate version best – good idea, will be making time in my day tomorrow to go and have a squizz at Farmers!
ooooh let me know how you go!
Classic Monochrome is my pick. It is very chic, and contemporary, with an edge of vintage nostalgia. A pair of classy shades and a sweet merino cardigan, with metallic pumps and bangles to boot, I’d be hot to trot !
boom! sounds like a winning combo
I would wear it with an off white longline cardigan/coatigan and a pair of red heels. Oh and a gorgeous big clutch to tie it all in nicely 😊👠💄👛
that sounds like a super-cool outfit!
Love the versatility of this jumpsuit! My favourite look on you is glam it up – especially the way the heels elongate the leg with the wide cuff/hem of the culottes.
how good is it! Super-versatile right!?!?
I like the casual version with the denim jacket as it still looks really smart and could easily wear to then out straight after
This is THE perfect ‘mum-of-a-crazy-no-like-seriously-crazy’ toddler jumpsuit!
No showing the grotty stains, no ‘whoopsie’ flashes of red panties when sitting on the floor in a dress, and definitely not boring jeans!
I’d rock the chucks and denim, but would happily wear the other styles switching out the heels for black ankle boots (cos seriously who wears heels as a STAHM- they’d become a weapon!! 😉 )
THE perfect mum-look without being a “mum look” right??
I love the glam look. Simply stunning especially since I am quite tall and it’s lovely to see a way to dress up something I could simply wear during the day as well. Simply elegant ready for summer.
Culottes are GOLD for us tallies!
I would pick the classic monochrome
If I wanted it I would have to get a loan!
Love the look and love the tip
Of a bit of red nail or red lip
Please pick me chasing Cait
I love culottes so this is fate!
HAHA always love a rhyme! thanks Laura!
Definitely the Glam look, it works well with the lace top and classic heels.
I would love a jumpsuit, I would glam it up with a pair of heels for work. 🙂
I love the casual look with denim jacket. As a busy mum of 3 this would be so versatile for drop offs, pick ups and racing around while looking stylish! 😚
this would look so cute on you! x
I have never worn a jumpsuit since I was a child in the 80s / 90s but would be willing to try. I would style it with a green olive denim jacket I have with floral embroidery on it and summer sandals.
Whoever knew that a simple culotte jumpsuit was so versatile? Wow, seriously! I love all three ways and might just have to make the investment. It looks awesome on you in all three particularly the glam but it wouldn’t look the same on me no matter how hard I tried! I would probably go for the sneakers and dj look or change it up a bit with other items in my wardrobe.
thats the beauty of a piece like this isn’t it! Everyone can put their own take on it x
I love the idea of getting more mileage out of this awesome jumpsuit by teaming it with a top, I think I would try your idea of a knotted tee shirt! Thanks for another great post 👌🏼
Happy to help! Such a useful piece for everyone’s summer wardrobe 🙂
I love the jumpsuit/denim jacket combo!! My denim jacket is my most versatile item in my wardrobe & it would be great to pair it with some gorgeous culottes 🙂
This jumpsuit is beautiful. The glam up, never thought of doing that! Love it!
Love the glam look! Perfect for work, date night, ladies lunch, anything really! I love this jumpsuit, saw it in the brochure the other day and told my husband its on my must buy list for summer!
SUCH a summer staple! And think about all the money you’ll save because you can wear it so many different way 😉
I love all 3 but think my favorite would be #3 with the denim and chucks.
I think this because of I saw this jumpsuit in store I’d totally think “gotta dress it up”……so this casual look ticks the boxes for the versatility word we love! Hx
its our fave V word 😉
I love this with the denim jacket and trainers – I think I’m going to have to make a trip to Farmers tomorrow!!!
yay! Let me know how you go!
The denim jacket and white trainers is awesome. My uniform at the moment- I love that they go with everything!
haha mine too – LITERALLY everything 😉
#3 is my favourite way as it fits with both work and fun for me! Still stylish but casual. I’d like to try a black cowl neck top underneath and ankle boots for Autumn/Winter too.
The Glam it up look as lace seems to be everywhere for summer. So that look combines the 2 without looking like it’s trying to hard.
I love the Glam style! Would make me feel super sophisticated and stylish
I love all 3 options but think number 1 is my fave 😊 I would normally gravitate to the denim jacket and trainers.
I love it glammed up. I find the thought of jumpsuits a little daunting, so this is a great way to ease into wearing one 🙂 Love it.
Fun and casual. A denim jacket and chucks makes the perfect summer outfit.
Trainers and denim jacket. Comfort and cool.
I love all of the different styles, but scene as I am utalising my denim jacket and white sneakers more in different ways and I love my red lippy. I love the way you have styled it in this way as being in my line of work I think I could pull this off more. Plus I love the cheeky way you have played up this style for the camera.
I’ve never worn a jumpsuit, because being a curvy size 14 with even bigger hips I thought I wouldn’t suit one. But I’ve seen this jumpsuit in Farmers and I realllllly like it! So I think, as I am needing some new work clothes, my favourite way to style it would be the classic monochrome.
Glam it up, love the way it changes the look and I already have a similar jersey.
