All my style dreams come true with of my favourite styles combined – the jumpsuit + culottes.

Jumpsuits are so easy to wear! I love they they are one piece, so you don’t have to worry about matching top and bottom, but also – not a dress.

Culottes for me are the pants of the Summer (even though we aren’t there yet, I’m calling it early). There are so many different cuts and fabrics, there is definitely a pair out there for everyone. They are lightweight, and versatile… which is why I’ve teamed up with Farmers and chosen this cool piece for the latest post in my 1 item, 3 ways series.

So here is the jumpsuit on the model….

SHOP IT HERE: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99

So why is it so good? I think this is such a cool base piece for any situation (as you’ll see shortly). There is nothing crazy in the colour or the print, so you can really put your own style stamp on it!

Also, the length is quite versatile! If you’re small in stature, it will be a nice ankle cropped length, or if you’re tall like me, you can play with a heel or a flat to change the dressiness of the jumpsuit.

So let’s get stuck into the three different ways I’ve styled this gorgeous, useful addition to your Spring/Summer wardrobe….

Classic Monochrome

Play up the classic black and white with monochrome accessories. This look is perfect for work or play, you could also add a black (or white) blazer for the cooler mornings. If you want to add a pop of colour, add a red lip or nail.

THE LOOK: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99 + Andrea Moore sunnies + Decjuba clutch + Senso heels

Expert Styling Tip: Define your waist with the jumpsuit tie, but make sure it sits on your natural waist – which is higher that you might think. Let the jumpsuit sit where it naturally wants to sit, rather than trying to pull the waist down too much. (this will also make your legs look longer)

GLAM IT UP

You don’t always have to always just wear a piece the way it’s intended to be worn. Have fun with things! By adding a lace top to the culottes, you’ve got the option of creating a completely different look.

I’ve added a gorgeous lace top, also from Farmers State of Play brand, to make this look more work-appropriate (arm coverage). I’ve just removed the belt from the jumpsuit, and voila! Turned it into a pair of pants.

You could also try this look with a tee (just tie a little knot at the waist) or even just a jumper for a more casual version.

THE LOOK: Whistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.99 + State of Play 3/4 sleeve, cotton lace top in black $109.99 + “Saben Frankie” Bag $389 + Decjuba heels

Expert Styling Tip: A heel will help elongate your leg with this style on pant. The pointed toe of the pump also makes your leg look longer, and for even more bonus length, try a nude version of this heel

Fun and Casual

A denim jacket and trainers work with literally everything in my books! The fabric of the jumpsuit can be dressed up or down, and adding a touch of denim will add a casual element to any outfit. This is such an easy option for the weekend hanging out with the family, but it’s something a little different from just the usual jeans and tee uniform.

THE LOOKWhistle sleeveless stripe jumpsuit in black/white $99.95 + denim jacket (similar from Farmers here $89.99 ) + Marc Jacobs sunnies + Converse trainers

Expert Styling Tip: When you’re buying a denim jacket, try going down a size. It will be a neater fit through the body, won’t add as much bulk and will create a slimmer line through your body. Also, cuffing the sleeves to expose the wrists is a great tip to take some more bulk out of the style.

So there you have it my loves, one versatile piece three different ways. This is one of those styles that is really worth trying on, even if you don’t think it will suit you, I know you will be pleasantly surprised. So make sure you head into a Farmers store near you and have a play!
