Self-confessed shoe addict right here. And like I said before, I’m an all-opportunity shoe addict. Cheap and cheerful, eye-wateringly expensive (ok I don’t have as many of those as I wish I did) and the ones in between, I don’t discriminate.

Last week, I told you about my 3 must-have luxury shoes (read all about them here), and this week, I want to share with you 3 of the cutest pairs of cheap and cheerful shoes I have found (so far) that are perfect for Summer!

“Cheap” shoes, I think, are even more polarizing that their more expensive cousins. Some people will not touch them. They think they are cheap and nasty (and some of them very much are) but some of the shoes I’ve got the MOST compliments on, have in fact been from Target, Kmart and Rubi Shoes. I think if you are just going to wear them for a season, and trash them, or they are a trend you can only see lasting for a season, then why spend up big on them? Give the cheap and cheerful option a go first.

So I’ve classed “bargain shoes” as anything under $50, which may be a drop in the ocean for some, and a bit of stretch for others, but we have to start somewhere.

Here are the three pairs I think everyone shoe be rocking in their Summer shoe-robe this summer.

The pastel sandal

This gorgeous colour (or any light colour) will go perfectly with that summer tan (out of a bottle of course). The toe strap is totally on trend, and flattering and comfortable on most foot shapes.

Wear these will your jeans rolled up, or a maxi dress, they’ll pretty much work with anything over summer and will take you from the beach to the bar and everywhere in between.

SHOP THE SHOE: Honey dress sandals from Number One Shoes $49.99

Sorry Aussies – Number One Shoes is a kiwi special, but I have seen similar in Novo, Kmart and Target recently. These are the perfect summer dress sandal – again, they’ll work well with jeans, but look gorgeous with a dress too.

The block heel isn’t too high, so you can wear them all day – perfect for the Christmas Party no?

The Espadrilles

SHOP THE SHOE: Rubi Shoes Ellie Espadrille $29.99 (aus)

This is one of my favourite shoe-trends for the summer. Haven’t done your pedi? No worries! These gorgeous little beauties will hide that, but still look fresh and beachy with your denim shorts.

Espadrilles are the new take on the trainer. Use them to casual down a dress, or to add some extra zing to a simple jeans + tee outfit. There are so many colours out there, but I think the metallic just takes this shoe to another level.

Now I have to be honest, I don’t own any of there myself yet (and The Boy is hoping it will stay that way!) but after doing the research for this post, I think that all three have just gone straight to the top of my list! But which one first……

Are you a “cheap and cheerful” shoe lover? Or is it luxury all the way? Have I missed any essential summer shoes? Let me know in the comments below – I’d love to hear!
