One of the things I love about this blog is getting to share with you some of the cool labels and products I discover around the place.

Now I’m by no means the first to find any of these cool things, but I’m all about sharing the love. I can honestly say I own things from all these labels myself so I can vouch for them.

Having a small business myself, I know what it’s like when someone orders your product, or books your service. I still get butterflies every single time someone interacts with my business – it’s such a rush. And it’s personal.

So if I can show you just one product or brand you didn’t already know about, and you make a purchase, then they (and me) are doing a little happy dance!

So here are a few of my favourite little NZ-made bits and pieces ….

SHOP MY FAVES

1. Take Two “Bold Tropics” fabric clutch $19.90
These cute little clutches are hand made right here in Auckland and are great for storing a few spare nappies and change of clothes, or your makeup, or all those pesky chargers when travelling.
Basically all all-round useful (and cute) thing to have in your everyday organisational arsenal

2. Helen Miller mini slouch bag in nude $320
These gorgeous handbags are made to order by Helen herself and you can customise your bag by choosing your own printed lining from some fab choices!
Made from a soft, supple leather, again, right here in Auckland, these bags are perfect for your everyday style.

3. “Always Love” singlet from The Motherhood Project $39
I have to admit, this singlet was the catalyst for this blog post. I bought it today after seeing Gemma (the brains behind this awesome website) post on Instagram about finishing her breastfeeding journey today.
The Motherhood Project is a community by mums, for mums, to offer support and uplift each other in what can be quite a lonely time.
Check out the website! Plus $2 from every tee sale goes to NZ Women’s Refuge too!

4. Little Honey NZ tan $55
You guys KNOW I love this stuff!
A fake tan created by a kiwi gal, Kate, because she wanted a tan that didn’t stink and didn’t stain the sheets.
Man has she delivered and her wee business is growing in leaps and bounds! The colour is perfect, and it is touch-dry in 10 seconds!
If fake bake is your thing, you need to get onto this ASAP.

5. Vida & Co merino head wraps (newborn to adult) $30
From newborn to grownups, these gorgeous merino headwraps are the ultimate baby (and big girl) accessory.
Both my girls have one, and I buy one for every girlfriend I know that has a wee girl of her own.
Each headwrap is individually hand made from NZ merino by clever mumma Candice so you know it’s made with love.

6. Papier HQ wall print gallery $278 unframed or $472 framed (for the whole wall)
My husband and I have talked about getting this for our walls for EVER (we just need to move into our dream house first so we can put holes in the walls).
Owner and designer Gabby started producing prints when she saw a gap in the market for on-trend and original artwork at an affordable price.
And once again, it’s all done right out of her Auckland studio.

There are just so many cool finds if you look into the NZ-made scene – and instagram is a great place to start (I think I found the majority of these thanks to those good old squares!)

Have you got any wee NZ labels you love? Share them in the comments below, I’d love to know!
