You know I love flexibility in my wardrobe. I bang on about it all the time.
And I think it’s especially important when you have limited space, be that in your everyday wardrobe, or more so in my case, in my suitcase! (check out this post I wrote about how to pack a travel capsule wardrobe for a summer holiday to the islands).
I’m currently on a long-awaited family holiday (belated honeymoon and babymoon!) in Vanuatu and I had very limited space, I mean I only packed three pairs of shoes! (I know, who AM I??)
One of the pairs that made it into my suitcase, mainly because of their flexibility in both wearability and comfort, was these gorgeous Ursa sandals from Ziera’s latest Flex collection.
The beauty of these funky sandals (besides how amazing they feel on your feet), is that they work with almost any summer outfit. Here’s what I wore to dinner on our first night away, and I can promise they will make many more outings both here on the island, and when I’m back in NZ!

The “why they work in your everyday wardrobe” bit:
- The nude colour will pretty much work with everything
- The gladiator style is funky enough to be dressed up, but cool enough to be super-casual
- The uppers are a super comfortable combination of elastic and performance textile.
- The white tread is not only made for comfort, it’s a super on-trend look for summer
The “good-for-your-feet” bit:
- Contouring at the heel cradles your foot and supports the metatarsal and the inner and outer longitudinal arches for maximum underfoot comfort
- There’s a dual density footbed for instant softness
- Unique rubberised EVA sole. The feather-light soles are designed to flex in the forepart to aid the biomechanics of walking.
You guys know I love a good shoe (hell, my business card says “shoe addict” on it!) and once again, Ziera has delivered.
I LOVE my pair of Ziera Toni Slides (which are still available) from last summer so much that they will be getting just as many outings this summer. Now my only problem is I have the Ursa to compete with them for my fave summer sandal now haha.
Want to WIN your very own pair of fab Ziera shoes for summer?
Simply jump over onto their website, and tell me in the comments below which pair of shoes from the Ziera Summer Collection you need to have in your wardrobe and why!
Be creative! Last year Lou and the story of her bunion “Tony” won (which still cracks me up!)
Good luck!

I’d choose Excite in red, fun and bright. Look great with jeans or dressed up. I could wear this for work too.
As a Wedding Travel Specialist I am lucky enough to travel a bit to some amazing places. The Ursa Sandals look perfect! There is a lot of walking when doing hotel inspections and then evening functions too. The Ursa sandal looks like the perfect accompaniment to most outfit. Also being a heavy packer and trying to take your advice about packing lighter and using the capsule wardrobe – it is a work in progress to say the least. Last trip for a 5-day trip was 22kg!!!
I LOVE shoes and have for many years. Unfortunately due to health reasons last year my passion has been somewhat constrained as I now have one foot that is bigger than the other, this is somewhat exacerbated in summer due to swelling feet. My challenge is to find a classy, easy to wear shoe that looks good with most things ( cause hey I’m still young!!) That’s why I’ve fallen in love with slide shoes – like the Toni. Bonus too that it’s a ziera shoe and comfy. 💜

Would love the Denver in Black.Already have the Rose Gold which i love.Since having to get orthotics im limited to what shoes i can where. The Denver still look great whether you wear dress or pants.
The Toni in silver would be my choice. I live and die in one pair of shoes over summer, these could be the ones! Cinderachael can go to the playground, camping, to the beach and the christmas party in these!
Hey!
I absolutely love Ziera shoes and have terrible feet (my pediartist called me duck feet as a kid)! I’m moving from Christchurch to Wellington and visiting this weekend I already know there will be lots of hill walking in my routine. Apparently my feet know it too as they are covered in blisters! I’d love a pair of Diego white shoes to help with my new adventures! I’m moving cities, finishing masters and getting married so lots going on and winning a pair would be absolutely amazing!
Thanks

I absolutely love the Ursa sandals, they’d be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. As much as I like be heels, I’m all about comfort at the moment. 😊
I’d love to win the Utah in rose gold. I’m in desperate need of shoes. I have a wardrobe full of ridiculous high heels bought during my 20s and a basket of terrible cheap sneakers bought post baby while I didn’t have any money. I’m a full time teacher so on my feet all day. I can’t drive so walk EVERYWHERE usually carrying a toddler, 2 backpacks and occasionally an umbrella. I’ve sprained ankles, torn ligaments and damaged my lower back so it’s so overdue for me to actually get around to looking after myself and good quality shoes would be the perfect start.
definitely the ursa sandals in dove – they look so versatile and more importantly they look wonderfully comfortable! While I would love to wear scrappy summer sandals my feet do not agree with heels so something stylish and comfortable like ursa would be perfect.
Hey love! For me it’s the Toni in the gorgeous Rose Gold. And here’s the reason why….After years of having to wear heels all the time my feet feel like they want to retire – and when I say retire, I really mean to ‘relax in luxury’. I mean seriously, with my workload, I have to spend half the day with my legs up the wall in a yoga pose to try and get some relief and when you’re in a client meeting, well, that’s just awkward. Help a sister out and bring a bit of relief AND STYLE to my life, because lord knows….I need it.
Yours with gratitude (and legs up the wall as we speak)
Monique
I would so love the Ursa Sandals that you have featured in this blog post. I reaaalllly need some good comfy sandals for Summer. I love how these go with so many outfits.
It would have to be the “Norma’ in the Rose Gold colour, because I’m sitting here with a swollen left ankle which has now morphed into a club’ foot. And to add insult to injury, the swelling has now travelled up my leg and stopped at my knee (thank god!) I should really mention at this point in the conversation that I have very skinny legs – my dad once asked me what the two pieces of string hanging from my skirt was when I was dressed up and going to a disco (I was 14). I looked down at the bottom of my tiered blue cheesecloth skirt (It was the 1970’s) and he said ‘Oh sorry love, it’s your legs.’ He’s still laughing about that one at 78!! Anyhoo, so I have one chicken leg, the other resembling the ‘Hulk’s’ leg so I figured that the ‘Norma’ shoes would be fantastic for me because let’s face it, it’s soft and comfy, I can squeeze my foot into it without it looking too daft and once I get a cortisone injection (for the arthritis and nerve damage in said swollen leg), I’m going to rock those ‘norma’ rose gold sandals like a babe! And there will be no ‘string’ in sight!!!!
Love the silver Lexi shoe. So cute and looks fun for work.
The Ursla sandal would be amazing. They look comfortable and stylish at the same time. Perfect for summer! I would so love to win a pair! Amy
I too am loving the Ursa sandal. Thanks Cait for the recommendation. I’m starting a “summer blubber demolition plan” which includes walking to and from work. So… I need comfortable but stylish sandals which can cope with my “move it to loose it” sub-plan.
Oh yes the ursa in beige would be so amazing to have for summer! There are several reasons why they would love to come and live with me
1. We are building a house which has taken 18 months and counting so my shoe budget is pretty much $0 but eventually, Ursa, I can promise a nice new wardrobe you can settle into
2. In that time myself, hubby and 2 children have squeezed into life with the in laws! Most of my shoes are in storage so who knows what they will be like once they are eventually broken out!
3. I need super comfy and stylish shoes for chasing my super active 2 and 5 yr olds! Honestly I think I do about 15,000 steps a day!
The Ursa sandal is now on my list of summer must haves, nude gladiator to dress up or down … yes please . My wardrobe is calling for these
I love the look of the SECRET RAINY I could see me dressing them up or down depending on the occasion. 🙂 thanks <3
Hi Cait, I love the ‘Secret’ heels in the versatile Rainy colour. I broke my leg badly a couple of years ago and only have one pair of heels I can wear/ feel safe in. The Secret looks with its back heel enclosed and strap to give the support I need 🙂 Thanks
The Ursa shoes are amazing – must get my hands on a pair of these, will be especially amazing to wear on my upcoming honeymoon in Rarotonga (complete with capsule wardrobe – woot!).
I have a few ‘aesthetically challenged’ foot factors, a bone spur on my heel and something my podiatrist once told me was a condition called sausage toes (I’m still not sure if he was joking or not?!) as my little toes aren’t so little ;-P It’s always a relief to find something summery but with enough coverage so as not to scare the kids!
Thanks Cait. I’d love Toni or maybe Dior (so many great options). I’m 9 months pregnant and really need some comfy sandals for summer. I’m looking forward to taking baby for lots of walks in the sun!
The tension was high. The cold morning and determined drizzle a reflection of her heavy spirit.
“Come on. What’s taking so long?”
He didn’t understand, how could he? His patience was wearing thin. His lack of empathy grated.
She knew she needed to make a decision one way or another. She’d had enough. She caught her reflection in the mirror. Her eyes stared back at her, unsure, questioning… is this it? No. She realised what she needed was unity (size 40 in rose gold) unity would make it all come together. The outfit for their special date would really come together with unity.
“I’m coming,” she called.
“Hooray!” He cheered, “you look gorgeous. But you could really do with some new shoes!”
She knew she loved him even more. He was usually right.
Definitely the Ursa you are wearing. I have spent the winter hibernating in socks and slippers working from home, only putting on trainers for Zumba twice a week… I need some incentive to bin the sheepskin and get out the fake tan!! Roll on sunshine and warmth 🙂
Once there was a woman named Chris, whose lack of shoes literally took the piss, each morning she’d gaze in somewhat of a haze deep into a wardrobe abys.
Her sparkling great outfit was let down, her smile quickly turned to a frown. She twisted and turned tut tutted and scoffed, the clothes would be flung off… if only I had Toni slides in rose gold she would cough.
For sure the ursa in dove or the Norma in rose gold – I could wear those all summer!
I like be the kiri in black.
These would be great for work, as I have to walk around the mall all day. It’s like running a marathon 😂😂
Lucky I get paid to do it 👍👍
Well…..so many great options! Love the UTAH, but for the days when my toes are unapinted ( :-0) the covered toe ORNA in rose gold and summer tan are beauitful! And then for the office days there is the DARCY in tan. Comfort meets style wins every day
I love the look of the Ursa sandals! I had a serious foot injury in January which resulted in surgery and many months in casts and on crutches. Has been rubbish! I am currently on the look out for some summer shoes I can wear that look pretty and I reckon these will do the trick! Thanks 🙂
I love the Dhara! I’ve had my eye on these shoes. I’m a stay at home mum and on my feet all day looking after a toddler. Good shoes are a must but hard to afford when you’re on one income.
Ohhhh I absolutely love the Ursa shoes!! Having quite short legs I tend to stay away from that style but I reckon the neutral would be the way for me to get away with it!! Plus I do have a bit of an obsession for neutral shoes (I have about 5 pairs). Would love to win a pair of the Ursa! 😘
I’m sick of walking into ‘nice’ shoe shops and having to walk past all the beautiful sandals to the few at the back of the shop where the 42 and 43 are hidden. Most of them look like you need a prescription to wear them or come in beige and blue with a Velcro strap. Nothing wrong with shopping at The Warehouse or Kmart (as they are the few shops that have affordable shoes that fit) but it would be wonderful to have an elegant pair of shoes. Its hard to choose but the Darcy summer tan-stunning
The shoes I need to have from the Ziera Summer Collection would also be the Ziera URSA in Dove. They are a cool colour, they look amazing with your skirt, therefore would look amazing with my shorts and summer frocks, they are flat which will give me the support i need as I tore my meniscus a couple of weeks ago, they are fun and seriously funky and then there are all the reasons you posted above… “why they work in your everyday wardrobe” and “the good for your feet bit”. Also with Christmas around the corner I need to tighten my purse strings..
I need those Ursa’s it’s exactly what I have been looking for, I want something dressy but hate heels! Those are beautiful..
Ooh I love the ursla and they would be super healthy being on my feet teaching and running around after a young one.
Hi Cait. Hi Ziera. Sadly I don’t have a creative bone in my body. But what I do have, is a healthy appreciation for Cait’s dress/shoe sense, to the extent of raiding (buying, whatevs) a significant portion of her (discarded) wardrobe. So in the interests of following in Cait’s fashion footsteps (hey, that was pretty good!) I am still lusting after the Toni slides from last season. Can’t justify the couple hundy, but man, I would rock those babies. Ta muchly 🙂
