This post originally appeared on NZgirl for The Warehouse but I really wanted to share it here with you guys too as I think you’ll find it useful!
I love writing this blog post every season! It means not only do I get to stalk my fave international bloggers, I also get to really put my creative thinking cap on to try and find combos to match said international blogger.
And I LOVE that every. single. time. The Warehouse delivers!
So this Winter, I’ve done it a little differently, not only have I found the blog-inspo, and found the matching pieces at The Warehouse, this time I’m showing you how to get the looks myself!
So here are three key Winter looks from The Warehouse, inspired by three of my favourite international bloggers.
1. Borrowed from the Boys
Which is exactly what Kendi from Kendi Everyday titled her post. I love the man-style looks, but i find it hard to pull off with curves. I think it’s the combo of the heart print, heels and the plaid shirt actually showing off my shape that I really like about this look.
So here is Kendi rocking it…..
and here is the look I got from The Warehouse!
GET THE LOOK: Garage scoop neck printed tee (different prints available) $12 | Garage check shirt $29 | Amco stitch skinny jeans $29
I love this look for the weekends, relaxing with friends. Would be great for uni, or if you have a job where the dress code is super-relaxed (creative industries etc). You could also throw the check shirt on over the top as it gets a little cooler.
2. Soft and Sleek.
Blair Eddie from Atlantic-Pacific is one of the most elegant and sophisticated bloggers out there. I love how she’s paired these leather leggings with a sheer, sophisticated top.
I LOVE these leather-look leggings from Garage. They will certainly have pride of place in my wardrobe this Winter. I’ve gone a little more oversized on top than Blair from Atlantic-Pacific, but that’s the point of inspiration, make it your own!
GET THE LOOK: Garage skinny pleather pants $29 | Garage deep V-neck cashmere-like jumper $29
3. Animal instinct
Ashley Madekwe from TV’s Revenge also has a gorgeous fashion blog called Ring My Bell. It’s a great source of inspiration for some of the latest trends, including the omnipresent animal print.
I’ve taken her leopard print + black combo and interpreted it in a different way. Animal print on top, teamed with a really simple black skirt, perfect for work, play or uni.
GET THE LOOK: Garage drop hem woven tee $20Â (more prints available)Â | Garage plain skater skirt $15
So there you have it. 3 looks inspired by 3 amazing international fashion bloggers, all under $70 thanks to the amazing prices and great fashion-forward pieces from The Warehouse. All these pieces (and many more) are available in store and online now.

#1 is very much my style.. jeans and a tee 🙂 I love the jumper and leather leggings look too.. its a bit more out of my comfort zone, which I am trying to push the boundaries off lol 😀
What better place to push your limits that with the affordability of The Warehouse! 😉
I love the first look “Borrowed from the Boys”. I’ve just had my 3rd boy last Wednesday. This look is gorgeous and I love the heart on the t-shirt and the pink in the shirt. Practical outfit to wear but oh so feminine!
OMG congratulations! xx
Love Kendi Everyday – Borrowed from the Boys! It’s stylish yet comfy- which let’s be honest is perfect of winter mornings when I’m throwing together an outfit!
How awesome is Kendi! She’s my fave 😉
You look fantastic in all 3 looks. My fav to win tho is number 2 the Soft and Sleek
thanks Sophie – good luck!! xx
Like the third look. Love animal prints and this one isn’t too OTT.
it’s such a good version of the animal isn’t it Tara 🙂
I love the pleather. Always wanted to try it but worried I can’t pull it off. That looks fantastic in you though!
thanks lovely 🙂 these are a good pair for sure!
My favourite is Borrowed from the Boys and it would be perfect for me at the moment as I’m not working while I heal up from a mild traumatic brain injury.
oh no! I hope you’re ok!! Good luck with the comp (and your head!)
Soft and sleek!
I love the leggings paired with the uber cool jumper, a bit of rock n roll on the school run? Love all the looks and loved discovering your blog through a friend, Finally a gorg lady with a real bod, with attainable looks! FAB
oh thanks Abbie! so lovely of you – and I can totally see the school mums looking rock n roll on the school run haha!
Love the soft and sleek look, but they all look fabulous on you!
thanks Elizabeth 🙂
I LOVE the borrowed from the boys look. As a preschool teacher it is the perfect work look for me. Stylish but comfortable and functional.
Sounds like a perfect preschool teacher outfit 🙂
Soft & Sleek all the way for me. And at under $60 there’s no reason I can’t do it!
super-affordable isn’t it!
Soft and sleek is so gorgeous. It’s my birthday Friday so maybe I should treat myself to something at the Warehouse. With prices this good, I could get the whole outfit! Thanks for sharing!
Soft and sleek is my fave, Who would of thought the warehouse had such good finds.
I’m loving the soft and sleek look. Edgy but still girly. I don’t have pleather/leather pants….buts have loads of floaty, chiffon type tops. Be a cool look to try!
Look 1. Borrowed from the boys
I struggle to find cute and current outfits that accentuate my curves and still look funky. I would love to be able to win this and rock the outfit. Would especially be a great rugby sidelines outfit to support my hubby playing rugby.
Loving this blog!!
thanks Rebekah – I’m completely with you on the curvy + funky! it’s hard to do so hopefully I give you some ideas 🙂
Soft & Sleek – a comfy, smart, dressy outfit for work or casual and both items could be mixed and matched with other items 🙂
totally Rebecca! I wore the pants over a chambray denim shirt to the movies the other night 🙂
I think look 1 would definitely be my go to outfit especially now the rugby season has arrived. Long days of carting kids too and from rugby would be ideal for this comfy looking outfit 🙂
Love the ‘borrowed from boys’ – perfect for chasing kids around all day!
Love the soft & sleek look, dressy but casual.
As always you look gorgeous in all of them, you could make a rubbish bag work! My fave to win would be soft and sleek.
awww thanks! trust me, there are heaps of things I don’t look good in!!
All 3 looks are fab but my favourite would have to be the 2nd. Those pants look versatile – smart casual or really dressy.
totally! I love versatility in clothing 🙂
The heart tee adds just the right amount of girly to your borrowed from the boys outfit – and I love the vertical lines that the seam detail creates in the jeans – flattering.
I loved that about the jeans too Monica!
They are all cute but I love animal instint as i love experimenting with pattern.
How much fun is print!
I love borrowed from the boys (not borrowing from my husband – he’s 6’5″) for me
and soft and sleek (different shoes) for work
borrowed from the boys wins out though
haha oversized is in though 😉
Love look number 1, “Borrowed from the boys”. This would be the perfect for Saturday sports with the kiddos – comfortable & cute 🙂
Perfect for a Saturday morning on the side lines!
Soft n sleek.
Classy!
Soft and sleek! I wish I could nail this look all the time. Just started a new job and I can finally ditch the corporate dresses and skirts – this look is a perfect start!
Good luck with the new job! And I’m sure you could TOTALLY nail this look!
Oh wow I love the soft and sleek. A gorgeous pair x
Yummy little combo isn’t it Natalie 😉
Soft and Sleek…because that just describes me to a T!
haha nice Monique 🙂
I love the ‘borrowed from the boys’ look. When I shop I struggle to spend money on casual clothes, always drawn to dressy, I seriously have 1 “dressy” T-shirt. Time for a trip to the warehouse I think 🙂
Story of my life Robyn!
Loving Borrowed from the Boys. I love being able to dress up or down a pair of jeans, there is almost nowhere jeans and a good top cannot take you.
totally agree Anita 🙂
soft and sleek …love it! X
thanks Nadine 🙂
Definitely look two, 2. Soft and Sleek, for me! You make it look so chic! I can’t believe these are from The Warehouse. I wondered if the pants would feel funny on so was nice to read your comment above about the soft lining. Love these posts, thank you.
thanks Jenna – I was so pleasantly surprised at the lining so glad that was helpful to you 🙂
I’m gonna go for look number 1, closely followed by the 2nd one
Nice choices!
Look 1, I could so wear that perfect for the Saturday morning markets, casual coffee yip it sounds like a bit of me!
Perfect for Saturday mornings!
Definitely a fan of “borrowed from the boys” – went looking at warehouse yesterday and couldn’t find the garments….will try again when I get back from overseas in 10 days.
Wishing I had someone like you around Cait to lay the clothes out for me each day and tell me to “wear that”. I’m sure there are lots of women around that want a “done for you – no thinking required option”.
Keep the blog posts coming – love your style, cheers Lara
thanks Lara! I actually do that for clients as part of one of my packages haha!
Hard to choose as I love them all but Look 1 is exactly what I wanted to achieve for casual /weekend. Now I know where to get the look! Thanks Cait xoxo
oh yay! Glad I could help with some inspiration xx
Love the cashmere jumper and legging look. This would work well with Ponte pants too! Thanks
it totally would! These pants are SO comfy too- they are lined with really soft fabric 😉
Its funny because its not really my style either but you are totally rocking that first look! That tshirt is so cute.
thats lady! xx
