Of course you can!
Sick of black yet? I know I am! It’s so easy to get stuck in this rut of just pulling out the black every morning when it’s cold…. and rainy….. and still dark.
But some days I don’t want to wear black, even if it is cold, and rainy and dark! How about white?
Some people feel that white should be left to the Summer months, but I don’t think so – why not bring a little freshness into the dreary Winter. And if WHITE, white doesn’t suit you, then cream, or winter white, or beige, or off white will have the same effect.
Here’s a few ways to get your bright whites out this winter, plus as few options in stores right now you can get your dirty little mitts on (Just make sure you’ve washed them first, white is hard to keep clean you know)
Lady Like White
Winter doesn’t always have to be jeans and boots (although they are such an easy option aren’t they!). Light weight knits are a warm, lady-like option. Paired back with a lace skirt, and light accessories (I know the WHOLE look isn’t white!), layer up with a camisole (I’m wearing a merino one under this knit) and some sheer tights if you are exposing your legs.
Casual Winter White
So if you DO want to do jeans, why not do white jeans? Add a white jumper, or jacket, white trainers and you’re good to go! Again, you can layer up with merino underneath and even add a darker coat if you really must, but once again – no reason why you can’t wear warm clothes in white!
And for those of you that complain that you get white dirty, it’s actually one of the easiest colours to clean. Soak in Napisan (or the like) and wash on a higher heat water to get the stains out (I also swear by the Napisan stain remover stick or soap for spot cleaning stains). There is no colour to risk fading with white, so you can wash it a little harder if need be.
So here are some of the hottest WHITE buys you can get right now to stop the blackout and get your white on this winter.
SHOP THE WHITEOUT: Witchery knit dress (in store only) | Seed Heritage jeans $89.95 | Decjuba jacket (on sale) $83.95 | Witchery trainers $149.90 | Portmans coat $129.95

Until Next Time, In Love & Style Always
It won’t let me buy the white Decjuba jacket. FML!
and by “it” do you mean your husband? or the website haha
I tend to end up wearing lots of grey and black in winter, but I think that’s because there are more of those colours around? In summer I’m all about colour and pattern! I bought a white wool coat when I lived in Australia and I loved it!! I thought it may be impractical but it stayed pretty clean throughout winter.
That definitely doesn’t help does it Nicola!
I think that’s why lots of people don’t buy white, thinking it’s harder to keep clean, but it’s not that hard really is it 🙂
