Ok, so maybe POP isn’t a good way to describe this weeks colour, it’s probably more of a soft, floaty whisper, but it’s a great colour all the same. Here are a few of the reasons I’m loving mint green right now….

Nothing like a bit of Pin-spiration (images from Pinterest)

So I’m desperately  wishing that Spring would hurry up and get here! (I’m kinda done with the cold now, two layers or less of clothing would be nice). One of the trends that will be huge for Spring is the pastel look, and as you know, I LOVE a colour trend! Everyone can get involved in a colour trend no matter what you shape, size, colouring, lifestyle or budget!

So here are my top 5 mint looks for Spring!

1. Mint jeans

too many great options to choose from!

So I couldn’t choose just one pair! There are SO many options out there at the mo to suit any budget, I had to include a few!

1. Dotti rainbow coloured jeans NZD $39.95 on sale (click here to buy)

2. Country Road coloured jeans NZD $109 (click here to buy)

3.  LTB jeans from Birdsnest.com.au AUS $79.95 (click here to buy) – I know these are exactly a pastel hue, but thought I’d add them in for those that are still not too sure about all the minty-ness

This is one of my favourite ways to rock the pastel trend – if you don’t think pastel suits you, don’t wear it next to your face – but you can still get away with wearing it on the lower half of your body (wear them with a nude heel or wedge to elongate your leg).

Match the back with a top in a colour that works on your and hey presto! Trend conquered!

2. Glassons peplum top NZD $39.99

Peplums are another gorgeous trend this Spring, so I couldn’t help myself with this little top! The peplum (the little frill hem) makes the waist look smaller whilst flaring out over the hips… super-flattering! Team this back with a pair of jeans, black pants or some statement pants (yet another trend for Spring)

3. Elise top by Goldie on Topshop.com

So pretty and fun for Spring!

I love this top (in fact I have ordered it in another colour (read about it here) – it’s on its way to me right now!). Team this back with some mint jeans (yes! you can do pastel on pastel) or tuck it into a floaty maxi skirt.

Mint works really well with navy so this will look great even just matched back with jeans, or under a navy blazer. Bring on Spring! Are you getting excited yet??

 4. Nike Oceania mint trainers from Asos.com

Nike mint trainers! How cool are these!

Comfort AND fashion – my favourite combination! How adorable are these trainers! No excuses not to go running now, and if you’re not all about buying your “serious running shoes” by colour (I don’t see what’s wrong with that….) you could just team these back with jeans for a casual weekend look!

5. Minty fresh nails!

minty-fresh nails!

As always with a colour trend, you can always just dip your toe in by wearing the colour on your nails! Almost any nail salon will have a minty hue you can request, and most collections will have one for you to buy and DIY your own minty tips…. these are just three of my faves.

So are you now as much in love with mint as I am? I am really excited about this Spring (it may have something to do with the colder climate I’m now living in…). There are so many fun trends to play with!

What kind of minty-freshness will you be rocking this Spring?
