Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference right?

For me, one of those things is finding dresses and skirts that have pockets! It’s not so much that I need to put all of the things into said pockets, it’s more that I can pose better in a frock with pockets haha – am I right??

So off the back of a reader request for some ideas on not-pants with pockets, I thought I’d put together a list of a couple of my faves……

Ok. So I lied. There are 6! I couldn’t help myself, there were so many great choices out there (well technically there are five frocks and a jumpsuit so in that case, I didn’t lie. Phew!). Here is what they are, and why I love them;

1. Sacha Drake “Heliconia” fitted 3/4 sleeve dress $299 (AUD)

You guys know that I am the ultimate Sacha Drake advocate and you can always count on this amazing Queensland designer to add pockets if she can! Her dresses are always such timeless shapes, made from amazing good quality fabrics and they are still made right down the road from her design studio in Brisbane. This is a great little work number – layer it up with tights, boots and a camel coat for our chillier Winters.

2. Home-Lee Cactus midi dress from Cait & Co $69.95 (on sale)

Of course I had to include this little number! It has neon pink + a cactus print + adjustable waist band + pockets! Like actually, what more could you want in a casual weekend winter dress!

I love chucking this on with my denim jacket and trainers as an alternative to jeans for running around on the weekend. The t-shirt fabric is soft, yet firm, and the length of the skirt is perfect for running around with the bebe.

3. Decjuba luxe swing dress $40 AUD (on sale!)^

The perfect holiday frock for those of you heading away to sunnier and warmer destinations! The soft drape of the fabric is flattering on most shapes and sizes, and hello! Pockets! They really make all the difference right?

4. Leina Broughton Xanthe Dress in black $249 (AUD).

Another amazing dress from another Aussie designer (well technically Leina is a Kiwi, but she is based on the GC in QLD). This is the perfect party dress with its sexy off the shoulder look, plus it’s fun swing skirt. Add a belt to add a little more waist definition and pose away with those pockets girlfriend!

5. Modcloth midi dress with airplanes $99.99

So cute and fun this dress right? I mean, it has airplanes on it! Modcloth is gold for dresses with pockets (just search for ‘dresses with pockets’ on their website and you have about a million to choose from). Modcloth is such an under-utilised resource for dresses, so I’m glad I remembered to share this one with you!

6. Jacqui E Culotte Jumpsuit $149.99 (AUD)

This is the bonus item and what a bonus! Mark my words, this silhouette will be HUGE for Spring… but you can get in on it now with this gorgeous jumpsuit.

Pockets – check! Elastic at the back for better fit – check! Flattering length – check! If dresses aren’t your thing, this might be a good option!
