Online shopping has always been my friend.
Coming from Aus to NZ, I felt that some of the fashion options were a little more limited (we have GREAT fashion here, just not enough sometimes) so online I go.
I mostly buy from places and brands I know, so I’m not too worried about sizing and quality, and if it’s a new site, I do my research – read the reviews, look at the size guide (and actually get the tape measure out, not just guess guys!)
One such store, from my trusty Sunshine State hometown of Brisbane, is Blue Bungalow.
I visited their actual store a few times when I lived in Brisbane (its an awesome space if you haven’t been these already Brisbane-ites!) so I’m comfortable with ordering their clothes online.
So when the gorgeous team asked me if I wanted to road-test a few of their current pieces, who was I to say no!
Here are four of my faves, and how they can work for you…
The White Blouse – (Thea Drape Top $49.95 (AUD)
I’m a bower-bird when I shop. Addicted to all things shiny or sparkley, and I never buy the plain black or white version. But sometimes you just need the plain black or white version – to go with the shiny, sparkley things).
This is a one-size top (so no stress about getting the right size), its made from an easy-care viscose (and if you get a few wrinkles in it, just stick it in the bathroom while you shower, the steam will get them right out) and I’ve just layered it with a white cami (but a nude cami/bra would work too)
The Colour of The Season – (Saffron Yellow Button Dress $139.95 AUD)
For a long time I wasn’t sure this colour suited me, but as with any colour it comes down to the tone of said colour.
My hair and skin are darker (thanks to a recent trip to the hairdresser and my trusty Little Honey NZ tan) so the warm tone (which I don’t usually wear) doesn’t wash me out as much.
I love the shape, and I went up a size because boobs (and also only gave birth 12 weeks ago) so I’m in a 14, but I would say stick to your usual size.
The Coat-igan (Pink Leopard Print Longline Cardigan $119.95 AUD)
Me and cardigans are usually not friends (and my reasons behind it deserve a whole blog post to their own, so watch this space) BUT I saw this little number on fellow blogger Katy Potaty and something about it caught my eye.
It’s got more shape and structure than most cardis, so I thought I’d give it a go.
I LOVES it!
I’m wearing the S but could easily do the M). I love how it falls. I love that you can wear it with a dress or jeans, and for someone who isn’t really into animal print – I LOVE the print!
(meanwhile, I’m also loving these FRANKiE4 Footwear boots, they work perfectly with this cardi, and most of my wardrobe, AND they are ridiculously comfy because they are designed for comfort by another Brisbane legend, Caroline, who is not only a podiatrist, but a physiotherapist so knows a thing or two about getting good feet)
They are called NAOMi and you can get them here
The One Size Fits All Dress (Navy Bamboo Batwing Dress $79.95 AUD)
You guys know how much I love a dress like this! (in fact I had the shorter version in my own online store for ages!). It’s so easy to wear no matter what your shape or style, make it your own.
The fabric is a soft bamboo modal, easy to wash and wear (no ironing required) and again, because it’s a one size (8-18) you don’t have to worry about sizing when buying online.
So there are four gorgeous items I chose online, and am really happy with the quality and fit!
Blue Bungalow is definitely high on my list of easy online stores, plus the have FREE SHIPPING to NEW ZEALAND when you spend over $150 (AUD)! So not need to even worry about those pesky shipping costs.
Until Next Time, In Love & Style Always,
All the clothes mentioned were kindly gifted to me by the team at Blue Bungalow for use in this blog post.
Where are those grey boots from Cait, in the last item? I love them!
Hey Libby, they are an awesome NZ brand called Minx Shoes: https://minx.co.nz/
The style is called Willott and they are amazing!
