Mmmmmmm I loves me a smelly candle – they just make the world a better place don’t you think? Even if your house is a pigsty (not that yours ever is! I’m talking more like mine….) whip on a fragrant candle and it makes all the mess seem to disappear.
They make lovely presents for people (take note if you ever need to give me a pressie, hint hint) and they are a lovely little addition to the home decor too – subtle, so the hubby won’t notice you’ve bought it (unlike the 1 meter x 1 meter poster I’m trying to work out how to sneak into the lounge room….. ehm)
So anyway! Recently I’ve discovered the newest kid on the NZ candle-making block, Sally’s Scents Soy Candles. Not only are they 100% home made, they are 100% natural vegetable wax and they contain no GMO material, no paraffin, no unnatural additives, are non toxic – so they are perfect for burning around little kiddies and those with sensitivities.
FLAVOURS
There are some super-yummy flavours, like so many yummy flavours I can’t choose which one I like the most!
Black Raspberry & Vanilla – An enticing blend of blackberries & raspberries, with middle notes of white floral greenery, and bottom notes of musk & vanilla
Avocado & Mint – Creamy vanilla and light musk create a base for mint leaf, clove bud, jasmine and ripe melon, with top notes of lemon & mandarin.
Lemon Cheesecake – The Smell of freshly baked cheesecake with notes of lemon & coconut
Montego Bay – Coconut blend with a hint of lime, this is a strong scent that sends your senses into a tropical beach heaven
CUSTOM POURS
The other thing I love about Sally’s Scents is that she offers customer pours! Yep, that’s right – BYO jar!
If you have a favourite jar / crystal bowl / Royal Doulton Tea cups, etc …  then have that special item custom poured with your favourite scent. Custom pour prices depend on what you are needing from single pours to events, once planned Sally will price each custom pour.

Hmmm, tough choice, but I think I would like the Gardenia one please. I would put it in dining room, so the room would smell like fresh flowers. Thank you.
Great choice! Good luck with the competition!

Oh I love the idea of filling the house with yummy smells before the kids come home!
Gardenia sounds delicious. I would put it on the new little shelf I just installed in my bathroom to enjoy while I’m having a soak in the tub!

Thanks so much, I’m so excited!! It’s going to look fab in it’s new little spot.
While I would love the lemon cheesecake I think it would make me want cheesecake every time I burnt it haha. So…..I’ll go for the gardenia better I think about flowers:)
The Lemon Cheesecake sounds delicious & I would be so proud to burn this in my lounge. This horrible weather makes everything smell dank, it would be just perfect, yes please!
I love candles in my lounge too!
Oooo I love scented candles!
I would choose Gardenia, as I just love the smell of fresh flowers.
The candle would be put into a deep hurricane glass dome (for fire safety) and be placed in our entrance/lounge area. When we have guests staying, I’d move the candle to our spare room to make it cosy and inviting for them 🙂
Gardinia and I would keep it in my living room. My favourite time of the day is 7:30pm when I light a candle flop down on the couch knowing my two small monkeys are fast asleep. My grown up mum time. It would be put to good use 😉
It certainly sounds like if would be put to good use!
Good luck in the competition!
Gardenia blissful
For beside my bed to enjoy my new evening meditation time…. learning to unwind from the long days of being self employed!!
I hear ya sister!!
I would place the Gardenia one in the hallway, so there’s a gorgeous smell each time we open the front door. So welcoming!
oooooh yummy! Great spot for it!
I would love black raspberry & Vanilla or montego bay (I love anything that helps me to dream about being in an island paradise on the beach).
I would keep in the bathroom too – best thing on a winters evening – dark with candles and beautiful scent. bliss.
Lemon cheesecake sounds amaze! I think I would keep it in my bathroom and light it on the rare and precious times I actually have time for a bath!! Bliss 🙂
oooooh bathroom is an AWESOME idea! I’m totally stealing that 😉
I would choose the lemon cheese cake as the scent of the candle reminds me of what it would be like to brighten up someones day after a long day at work.
awwwwww so sweet 🙂
I would place the lemon cheesecake candle in the kitchen and trick unassuming guests that I had in fact made a cheesecake. However, those that know me well know that I am no domestic goddess and the game would be up pretty quickly, though the kitchen would be smelling heavenly! xx
Sneaky – I LOVE it! A girl after my own heart 😉
Lemon Cheescake would be my pick. I would keep it on my kitchen counter and light it at dessert time, it might save me some extra calories! 😉
haha what a GREAT idea! I might have to try that myself! Good luck with the comp!
I would love the lemon cheesecake (sounds delicious) for my lounge, it’s the heart of our home, where everyone goes to!
OMG Celeste – it smells even better than it sounds! trust me!
I would place the lemon cheesecake candle in our lounge as it’s at the entrance and would be such a wonderful smell to walk into the house to.
What a fantastic business – thanks for keeping in the know Caitlin – can’t wait to go to a pour your own party!
oooooh what a great idea! x
I would love the black raspberry & vanilla. But I would also choose Gardenia as the smell would remind me of summer. It would be placed in the bedroom for sweet dreams 🙂
Nice choice! Good luck in the comp x
