There is so much chatter about “organic” these days. Organic food, organic beauty, but what about organic fashion?

We’re increasingly adding organic products to our everyday lives, and an expensive price point is no longer becoming an issue. We are getting beautiful quality products, at affordable prices and obtainable to everyone – pretty much bang on what Chasing Cait is all about!

So when the team at Anchor Organic milk approached me for my thoughts on all things organic, I jumped at the chance to investigate how this every day organic trend taking over our fridges and pantries is also finding its way into our wardrobes.

So let’s look at how to put together an affordable, everyday winter wardrobe with key organic pieces.

(Editors note: Can I just say, I’m SO impressed with the amount of incredible organic and eco fashion brands out there, I had such a hard time wading through all the incredible brands just to find you this wee number, so do yourself a favour and take the time to look yourself too, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what you find!)

What’s so special about organic fashion?

In a nutshell, organic fashion refers to clothing and accessories that have been made with a minimal use of chemicals with a limited impact on the environment. We can also look at eco fashion – a broader term for all clothing, fabrics and accessories that have been manufactured in an environmentally conscious way (something that we should all be aware of).

It means that your clothes are not only working to save the planet by being manufactured responsibly, but they are also going to be nicer against your skin, better quality (majority of the time) and going to get you more bang for your buck, in regards to long-term wear.

How do you feel about organic and eco fashion? To be honest, I thought it was all going to be a little bit “hippy”, but I can’t believe how much cool stuff is out there!

Are there any other organic or eco fashion brands you know of that we should be looking to integrate into our everyday wardrobes? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to know
