Now I’m not saying I’m an expert (oh no wait, I am) – style is my thing. BUT at the same time, I don’t know much about nutrition (I may, or may not be gluten intolerant, yet continue to eat gluten), so I”m getting help from a nutritionist to help me work out the best things to fuel my body.
I like people who have identified a gap in their life and they want to FIX it. If you want to get that little bit more toned at the gym, you get a personal trainer to help FIX your form. If you want to shake up your diet, cause it needs FIXING, you can talk to a nutritionist to help FIX what you put on your daily menu.
So if your wardrobe/personal style/or even confidence is not where you want it to be, why not FIX it!
Sometimes when I’m meeting a styling client for the first time, they are well dressed, well presented and put together, and my first internal thought is “oh god, why have they hired me!? They have more style than I do!” but when I get talking to them, there are still parts of their style-personality that they want to work on – enter me, the Style Coach.
There are SOOOOOO many different reasons that people hire someone like me;
~ She may have just had a baby, and her body has changed~
~ She got a new job and wants to look the part~
~She has a HEAP of clothes but doesn’t know how to wear them~
~She has lost her confidence and just wants to feel good about herself again~
Sound familiar?
It might not be a complete wardrobe overhaul you are after, maybe it’s just some help on re-organising what you’ve already got, and that’s ok too.
A simple change to how you look can work wonders on your confidence levels. For example, knowing not only what your body shape is, but more importantly how to make the most of it, can be the difference between feeling average and feeling amazing!
I was at a client’s house the other night (just for a wine and a catchup actually) and she was so EXCITED about clothes again! But more importantly, she was excited about the way she FELT wearing her clothes. Her confidence is now through the roof. She is a different person, and she is loving it.
Getting this reaction from her, is the reason that I do what I do. So please don’t think that just because you aren’t famous, or just because you aren’t rich, or even just because you aren’t a TOTAL fashion disaster, some style help can’t make a difference in your life. Because I reckon we all need some coaching at some point.
What do you think? Are you in need of some coaching?
