I love supporting local (NZ and Aussie) labels! It’s one of the things I love about being in this industry, and you may have heard me talk about this talented duo from my home town of Brisbane before (read the first post HERE). Introducing (again) Capsule Collection Australia.
Capsule Collection is the brain-child of two friends who couldn’t find good quality, stylish basics that fit! So they went about changing that and starter their own label.
The idea behind the collection is that they’ve found good quality, stylish basics every woman should own and made them available to you, for really affordable prices too! (and NZ ladies, you can order this label too – they ship to NZ no worries!)
They’ve now also added The Stylist’s Choice selection. each week, a statement piece will be available JUST for that week (check out the gorgeous mint maxi below – that was one weeks Stylist’s Choice)
Ok so I’ve TOLD you why this label is amazing, now let me SHOW you! The lovely ladies at Capsule Collection sent me a few pieces to test-drive, so here I what I got, and what I thought of the pieces…..
I’m Wearing: The Best Pair of White Jeans You’ll Ever Own $120 + The Perfect Singlet (in navy) $35
I’m Wearing:Â The Best Pair of White Jeans You’ll Ever Own $120 + The Perfect Singlet (in navy) $35Â + Cross scarf $40
I’m not normally a fan of white jeans (hell, I don’t really rate jeans at all) but THESE are incredible! They have a high rise, the are super light-weight and they are looooong. I’ve rolled them up for more of a boyfriend look as they are slightly bootcut, but they will work well for most shapes – buy your normal size.
The singlet is a super-soft fabric that just skims your body. The straps are thick enough to wear a good, supportive bra (if you need it) but the neckline is low enough to flatter a larger bust. I’ll have one in every colour please!
I LOVE this scarf weight. It big enough to work in winter wrapped around a few times, but light enough to use in summer (I always carry a scarf like this in my bag when I go to the movies etc, or for when the sun goes down)
I’m wearing: The Classic Black Dress $90 (in M) + The Colourful Clutch $55
I’m wearing: The Classic Black Dress $90 (in M)Â
I felt SO sexy in this dress, and at the same time, super-comfortable. The shape is incredible (that back has a low scoop, but is still bra-friendly). It’s made from a slinky poly/cotton fabric that follows your body beautifully. I am wearing a slip under it, and you have to choose the right undies, but that’s a given with any fitted garment.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say this was my FAVE piece from the Collection!
I’m wearing: Hello Weekend Striped Dress $85 (in M)
This dress is perfect for what is says it’s for – the weekend! I can see myself living in this over summer! I could throw it over togs, or chuck a denim jacket over it and head to the pub. And once again, the fabric is soft to touch, and just floats off the body. Definitely a winner!
(although if you’re tall like me, be prepared to get the pins out – it’s short, and at 5ft 10, I’m not  but I’m cool with my legs so I don’t mind)
I’m wearing: Hello Weekend Striped Dress $85 (in M) + Neon Scarf $40
This was the first piece from The Stylist’s Choice collection – a gorgeous maxi dress perfect for summer. Check out this week’s offering HERE.
You can also just hit all the proverbial birds with one stone (that’s really a terrible saying isn’t it) and purchase  Total Capsule which consists of 13 pieces, for $880 (aus) – that’s less than $60 per item and the combinations you get from this are infinite! What a great way to kick-start your wardrobe!
The Total Capule – buy it here for $880 (aus)
So there you have it – some of the gorgeous pieces from Capsule Collection Australia. What do you think? Such a great concept isn’t it! I’ll definitely be stocking up on more of these basics over the summer. And remember, Capsule Collection SHIPS TO NZ too ladies!

If I was a) 5ft 10 like you, and b) had your fantastic pins, I think I would just live in that gorgeous weekend dress!
Haha you still can! it’s a great dress on every shape and size xx
HI Cait, wondering what shapewear you recommend and how to select it properly without feeling that you are suffocating . Thanks
Hey!
It’s a balance with shapewear. I VERY rarely wear it. I dont’ have one specific brand, they are quite good but I usuall wear a ‘hybrid” pair. That is, they are not the full “can’t eat, can’t move” type, they are normal undies with maybe an extra layer across the tummy.
The main idea is to create smooth lines (a slip is always good for that too)
I bought my favourite ones from Target in Aus, but any department store is a good bet as you’ll have the best range.
I hope that helps – I’ll have to write a full blog post on how to find the right shapewear – thanks for the idea! x
White jeans and a navy singlet are just so classic. You look lovely and have totally inspired an outfit for the weekend. Assuming of course Brisbane weather decides to be reasonable!
haha good old Brisbane weather! it’s still not hitting 20 degrees here! Yes, loving the white jeans too! best i’ve come across so far x
I love the black dress on you, it’s simple yet stylish. I think I need one too!
The black dress is amazing! its my fave – you can also turn it around for a lower neckline, and I was also going to dress it down with trainers and a denim jacket 😉
