Hi, how you doing? Surviving winter ok?
Sick of wearing jeans and jumpers already? Yup, me too.
Which is why I’m super-excited to give you a bit of a look at a gorgeous brand that comes out of Queensland (my home state) called Adrift – not a jumper or pair of jeans in sight (well, that’s not technically true, but you’ll see what I mean).
I love telling you guys about new and different options when it comes to labels that are around. It’s nice to have some different options every now and then right?
Adrift is a gorgeous label, based in Brisbane, started by Bec Pullar, a laywer-turned-businesswoman, in 2012. Bec really wanted to give women options that weren’t the stand corporate gear, but also not the same old jeans a tee. And it’s safe to say she delivered!
The best thing is Adrift is very affordable, with everything coming in under $200, all the garments are easy-care, wash and wear, plus the clothes range from a size 8 – 24, so there is definitely something for everyone!
I’ve been road-testing a few gorgeous pieces that I wanted to show you, PLUS I’ve got an awesome discount code JUST for you, so make sure you keep reading to find out what it is!
SHOP THE LOOK: Surafina slip dress $94 (I’m a standard 12 and I’m wearing the M) | Surafina embroidered bomber jacket $146 (I’m wearing the S/M)
I love this combo so much! I’m not usually a slip dress girl, but add the bomber and BOOM! Sign me up! The khaki is a great winter colour (and suits most people) that you can wear back with black, so add tights and closed toe boots if its colder.
The bomber is such and on-trend piece, and you could style it back over a black dress, or even just with jeans and a tee if you wanted to be more casual.
SHOP THE LOOK: Surafina Angelina shirt in black $177 (generous fit, I’m wearing the 10)
The detail in this top is everything! How beautiful is that neckline? The bell sleeve also adds to the drama, but it also works well just with jeans and trainers.
I’ve got a nude bra on underneath, so you can only see the strap super close up, but again, if you wanted to be warmer, you could layer a black merino camisole under the top and you would only see a little of the black strap.
If you are bigger in the bust (like me), the detail is a great way to get away with a higher neckline, without looking matronly. The detail acts almost like a necklace, breaking up the surface area of your top half into flattering smaller portions.
SHOP THE LOOK: Adrift Mandala dress in blue $177 (I’m wearing the M/L, but as a 12, the S/M would have been fine too)
Ok, so maybe this isn’t the most practical dress for winter but it’s sooooo pretty, and we still have island holidays, and inside events right? I love the embroidered detail, the length is great (not super-short) and pockets! hello!
Also the belt is completely separate, so you can choose where and how you wear it, I’ve tied it up high around my waist, and then bloused the dress back over it a little to shorten it (and give some tummy coverage)
If you wanted to winter-ise it, add a coat, and tights and boots (or just brave the bare legs and boots like I did!).
NOW! As a little treat just for you guys, the lovely team at Adrift have given me a special code just for you that gives you 25% off! YES TWENTY FIVE PERCENT!
