If you are a regular reader of Chasing Cait, you know I’m a fan of online shopping. If you are new to the blog, welcome! and just an FYI, I’m a fan of online shopping.
One of my favourite sites to waste hours and hours on…ehm, visit every now and then is boohoo.com. I love their HUGE range of fashion-forward pieces at prices that you just can’t get in a bricks and mortar store.
Based in the UK, boohoo.com (or boohoo.com.au or boohoo.co.nz depending on where you live) ships to you FOR FREE (always a bonus) and delivers pretty quickly, considering it’s coming from the UK! (normally I find my parcels arrive within 7 days)
Quick, on-trend fashion pieces are boohoo’s MO so there is plenty to choose from. My quick tips for buying online are as follows:
Quick tips
1. Know what you are looking for – it makes it easier to narrow down search results (ie. a printed pencil skirt, or a floral blazer)
2. Buy styles that you ALREADY know work on your body shape. Because you can’t try before you buy, stick to what you know. For instance, I know that printed pants work on me, so I’m comfortable buying them online.
What I’ve bought
Here are a few pieces I have scored from boohoo.com in the last 12 months…..
Both pairs of pants I bought true to size (ie a size 12) and was STOCKED as they were long enough for my 5ft 10 inch frame. They are lightweight and SUPER-comfy to wear. They also both cost around the NZ $50 mark – bargain!!
Reviews
One of the other things I love about boohoo.com is that they allow customers to rate and review products they have purchased. This can often help YOU in your purchasing decisions as people will mention fit issues, fabric quality and length. If you are unsure, read the reviews!
WHAT’S ON MY SHOPPING LIST
Here are just a few of the pieces that are sitting in my shopping basket right now….
> Boyfriend jeans are the new skinny jeans (but HEAPS more comfy). Wear them with trainers and a straw hat for a casual look, or dress them up with the trusty heels and blazer combo.
> Floral heels. How much more like Spring can you get! And they will work really well with the afore-mentioned boyfriend jeans
> Monochrome pencil skirt. Capitalising on one of Spring’s hottest trends – monochrome – in a shape that suits my body. Trend + fit = awesomeness
Boohoo.com updates its stock regularly so make sure you bookmark it and visit regularly! Go on, go have a look now and tell me what’s on your wishlist! I’d love to hear.
