This is a topic that ALWAYS comes up in conversations with girlfriends and clients alike when I ask them what they struggle with the most. “I want to look stylish, but still be practical on the weekends while I’m running around after my kids”
And when we asked YOU what you wanted to know a few weeks ago over on the Lindauer Facebook page, there were so many responses asking this same question too!
So I thought I’d give you three outfit options for hanging out on the weekend (with kids or no kids) that you will look and feel awesome in without wearing your gym gear all day.
This look is dressed up with the shoes, and dressed down with the denim jacket. The “best pants ever” from Decjuba are stretchy and comfortable beyond belief (as well as machine washable!) so they are SUPER-versatile and can be worn 7 days a week if need be.
SHOP THE LOOK: CottonOn jersey $29.99 | Boohoo.com denim jacket $45 | Jeanswest scarf $34.99 | Decjuba bengaline “best pants ever” pants $129.95 | Mollini lace up shoes from StyleTread $159.95
This look is all about comfort! But lucky for you, Sport Luxe is a big trend at the mo so stylish tracksuit pants and trainers are in! Just make sure you have one element of your outfit (like the vest) that lifts it a little from JUST sports-wear, I’ve also added in the LEATHER version of the Converse trainers for the same reason, a little more style, a little less casual.
SHOP THE LOOK: Atmosphere pants from The Iconic $59.95 | Witchery knit top $109.90 | Decjuba faux fur vest $139.95 | Converse leather Chuck Taylor trainers from The Iconic $120.00
I had to include a dress option for you because I’m such a dress girl! I’ve added the utility shirt so you can either throw it on like a jacket (just leave the buttons undone) or you can even wrap it around your waist for the double whammy of waist definition, but tummy protection (see how I’ve done it here).
Flat knee high boots are always a great option with pants, but in the winter months, why not put them back with a dress too! The hat adds some extra warmth (and fun) to this relaxed, casual but stylish look.
SHOP THE LOOK: boohoo.com stripe dress $20 | Jeanswest utility shirt $49.99 (to wear around the waist, or open as a jacket) | Forever New felt hat $39.99 | Therapy boots from StyleTread $79.95
So there you have three different weekend options for those days where you need to be comfortable, hands on and active, less the gym gear. It’s really as simple as putting a few smarter pieces back with some more casual items for the perfect Weekend Warrior look!
What’s your favourite look out of the three? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to know!

Hi Cait – I really like the Boohoo demin jacket, but they’re out of stock – any suggestions of similar jackets that you can recommend? Cheers 🙂
Hey Rosie – I LOVE this one from Just Jeans! http://www.justjeans.com.au/shop/en/justjeans/women/jackets/Womens-Denim-Jackets/knit-denim-trucker-jacket
Highly recommend it 🙂
Thanks Cait – they’re out of my size in that too – BOOOOOOO!! 🙁
can you get to a store? they always have them in stock!
Love all 3 looks! I’ve done maternity variations as
I’m 36 weeks pregnant but happy that I can adapt again once baby is born!
oh nice! Good luck with the bubba 🙂
Hey! So totally just bought these pants. The promo code JULY40 will get you 40% off woop!
boyah!!! I’m totally going to get them now! thanks for the tip off on the code!
Hey Cait, did you end up getting these? are they a nice fit?
the pants? I didn’t get them but my girlfriend did and she loves them! x
are they are pant or a ponte pant? and can you were ponte pants with shorter tops??
Hi Susan, did you mean the decujba ones? They are a bit more of a pant, but they are still very fitted so it depends on how comfortable you are wearing a very slim pant as to what top you would wear with it 🙂
Hi, what is A & S slouch track pants sizing like Kate? Thank u!
hey Mel! Pretty true to size I’d say. It depends on how you want the pants to fit to be honest though. I’d probably go up a size myself as I’d want a little more room in them
Oh man I wish those Decjuba pants came in a bigger size! They look so comfy but I’d never fit a 14 🙁
they are a REALLY big fit Charlotte, if you are normally a 16, you’d be surprised at how roomy the 14’s are.
These are another BRILLIANT option that will fit upto an 18 (actually, the 18 will fit a 20) http://www.sachadrake.com/shop/pants-and-skirts/SSCORESKP1BK/SKINNY-PANT.html and they ship to NZ 🙂
I’d struggle to fit a 16 too but an 18 would do the trick. Thanks for that link, I’ll check them out 🙂
