Did you know that it is ONLY FOUR DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS???? (I know, I haven’t finished my Christmas shopping either!) but enough about everyone else, what are YOU going to wear Christmas Day?

Top 5 Christmas Day

Do you dress up? Do you sit by the pool? Or do you just laze in bed half the day (clearly you don’t have kids, it’s Ok – either do I). Well no matter what your plans are, it’s a great excuse to dress up!

So here are a few ideas on what to wear no matter where you are!

1. A Maxi Dress.

This is my ABSOLUTE STAPLE for summer – it’s cool, conformable and chic and generally they pack well because they are often a jersey fabric so perfect if you are heading away for the holidays. This dress, The Maddison, from Sacha Drake, is a personal fave of mine (I have it in 5 colours, don’t judge me). You can dress her up or down, perfect for any Christmas Day event!

2. Sparkles.

I LOVE me some sequins any time of the year, but what better reason that Christmas Day to pull them out. If you have a more formal celebration, something with a bit of sparkle is perfect!

This option from DeCujba could work for a more formal Christmas catch-up, but if you just wanted to add a little fun to a casual Christmas Day, pair it back with some simple tan sandals for a laid-back look.

3. Togs, swimmers, bathers – you know what I mean.

Seriously, who in the Southern Hemisphere doesn’t want to be sitting by the pool on Christmas Day – and how cute is the print – totally festive (plus the shape will actually suit most bodies – I know – that NEVER happens!). Plus just add a sarong when you are out of the pool for a little cover-up and you won’t have to change all day!

4. PJ’s

Like I said, if you don’t have kids (or don’t  live with me – I get up RIDICULOUSLY early on Christmas) you might be able to laze around in bed, open some pressies, have breaky in bed if you are lucky – so why not do it in style. This cute little slinky nightie from Peter Alexander is cute and comfy – just add a dressing gown once you are up!

5. Sun dress

So a maxi is not your thing (what is WRONG with you!) but you can still be festive in a frock! A cute, white summer sun dress is the perfect option. Lace is huge this season so you won’t be short of a little white lace frock. I’m partial to this beauty from Max – I love the shape and structure! Add some green and red more a very festival look, or metallic accessories for a more subtle Christmas feel.

So hopefully you have found something that will work for you on Christmas Day,  I still can’t choose, but I’m leaning towards my Sacha Drake Maxi….. or maybe the sparkles….. but the white sundress looks good too….. oh dear.
