Life is busy (even more so now with a wee one!) and shopping can go to the wayside – yes even for a personal stylist. But then, sometimes you find a piece of clothing that you just love, and one that you can see yourself wearing over and over again!
I love it when that happens! (and for me it probably happens a little too often! Sorry credit card!) but this dress was definitely one of those!
Mandy Dress from The Little Party Dress $59.95
It comes from a great online store called Little Party Dress, based in Oz, but with shipping across the ditch here to NZ too.
I love the shape of it, the print is amazing, and I also think the length is a great length for almost everyone and every occasion. The soft cotton is drapey and light,
I could see the dress working for a wedding, the races, a girls lunch or just everyday, so I’ve put together a couple of looks to show you how to get the most out of this gorgeous dress.
Glam it up
Got a wedding to go to? Or heading along to the races? I love the idea of wearing something with a sleeve (no more sunburnt shoulders at the end of race day) and there are some great colours within the print to accessorise to (a gorgeous purple fascinator would look amazing!)
(Makeup note: I’m wearing Estée Lauder “Thrill Seeker” I matched with this dress in THIS POST)
Everyday casual
Who says we have to wear jeans and tees everyday? This dress is a great length (meaning it’s not going to blow up and flash your undies when the wind blows!) plus it shows off your summer sandals nicely too!
How easy is it when we have things in our lives that do more than one job? I talk quite a bit about finding pieces of clothing that are versatile and make getting dressed in the mornings easier and so I love that Estée Lauder have released a moisturiser that covers all your anti-ageing needs in one super product – it’s called the Revitalizing Supreme Plus Moisturiser and you can get it NOW from all Estée Lauder counters around the country.

My makeup counter is complete with the only anti-ageing moisturiser I need!
In order to help skin resist the signs of ageing, it is critical for skin to remain hydrated, healthy, and nourished – and this amazing little pot of gold features a Prickly Pear Cactus extract that is proven to provide barrier strengthening and nourishing benefits to the skin, as well as additional collagen-boosting properties. With continued use, skin’s barrier is stronger and better able to seal in precious moisture. Sounds pretty delightful and I am ALL about the anti-ageing right now (who knew children would be so ageing so quickly haha!)
So I’ve found the only dress you need this Spring AND the only moisturiser you need to keep your skin looking fresh. Life is really busy, we all know that! Having a really easy dress to wear, and a simple moisturising routine just makes things that wee bit easier everyday, don’t you agree?
Until Next Time, In Love & Style Always,

Hi lovely dress! Where are your gorgeous summer sandals from please?
Hey Vanessa – they are from a Sydney company called Samvara, unfortunately, they are about 10 years old! sorry!
Does this style of dress work well when breast feeding, i.e. you don’t have to get half naked to feed? It looks like it would.
Hey Kirsten, if you had a feeding singlet on underneath it would be really easy to un-wrap the tie a a little and feed.
Saying that, it’s not stretchy so you would have to undo it a little 🙂
Hello – great dress! Do you think it would be easy to breast feed in? Does it open up easily at the tie front?
Hey Kim, it could be ok, it’s not stretchy at all, but if you loosened it a little you could feed ok 🙂
Hello, what are the sizes like ? should I go down or up 🙂
Hey Toni, pretty true to size, I went with the 12 and its a perfect fit 🙂
Hi. as always I love your posts … BUT can you write a post on how to shop online? I just went into “Little Party Dress” on your recommendation, however I got put off when I saw that there are 284 dresses to scroll through. I got scared so clicked “New In” … 385 items to scroll through. What’s the secret??
Hey Julie! Great idea 🙂 I have written one before but might be time for an updated one 🙂 watch this space
