Every awesome label out there has its thing. It might be colour, or the ability to layer, or a distinct cut.
And the lovely label I’m about to show you is no different. Print and fabric are two of the strong points behind this NZ-designed brand, Tantrum (and it’s sister label Libertine, which I showed you in this blog HERE).
When I walked into Tantrum HQ to meet designer, Lissette Masyon, I was struck by the flurry of prints and colours and the Queenslander in my did a happy dance.
Chatting with Lissette about how and why she designs like she does was like talking to an old friend who totally gets what we all need in our everyday clothes
The struggles we face with fit, fabrics and choices. And she set out to provide something to meet those needs. Boy, my friends! Did she deliver!
This dress is my happy place! The lightweight rayon fabric is so soft to wear, the easy fit of the dress means that you can style it to suit your body and can we just take a second to talk about this print?? ALL of the colours!
Prints are definitely Lissette’s forte. And by keeping her cuts and shapes simple, she really shows off the fabulousness of the fabrics.
The “Bubble Blouse” is an everyday star in your wardrobe. Team it back with a pencil skirt for work, or thrown it on over jeans or denim shorts for play.
The colours are infectious, and you can match it back with so many different things (just use the colours in the print to show you what to match it with).
The ruffle sleeve is a great trend detail, but the softness of the rayon fabric means it will drape beautifully without being too puffy if you don’t do big details.
Details are important when it comes to elevating your everyday style (which is what Chasing Cait is all about!). How cute is this split detail in the back of the “Deco Dot Blouse”
This lightweight, easy fit blouse can be tucked in at the front with a drape-style pant, or A-line skirt, or worn loose over a skinny jean (you’ve got the length in the back).
There are little pops of orange around the circles so you can play with colour (always fun to do in summer), or just pair the top back with navy, denim or white for a classic look.
This is definitely a label that will be on permanent rotation in my summer wardrobe! I love the colours, the fits and the price-point is amazing for the quality of the pieces.

Post unsuccessful IVF no 4 (but incredibly lucky to have a three year old from a previous cycle) and this mumma needs some TLC in the form of this fabulous rainbow dress! When you go through the emotional turbulence, intense body changes and eventual heartbreak of another failed cycle, sometimes it’s a simple frock (which fits over your bloated and sore tummy) that makes you feel optimistic for a minute or two – and that’s worth its weight in gold! The colours convey happiness and positivity – both of which I could use a little of right now xx
So pretty! Would love to wear this on Xmas day…have been trying to figure out what I’ll wear so would be perfect 🙂
I would wear this to my Xmas day at my Mums so I looked and felt pretty.

This dress is gorgeous it would look fabulous in every season! In summer depending on the occasion I would dress it up with sandals and jewellery or wear it casual with Jandalls to a BBQ. In Autumn i’d team it boots and a denim jacket and wear it for many of the birthday celebrations my family has to celebrate. Then in Winter I would team it with a black merino and tights and wear it for dinners out. And then in spring i’d team it with a pair Tan flat sandals for visiting gardens.
The dress is gorgeous, so so amazing., I can imagine wearing it all year long for so many different occasions. I would wear it casually with sandals or dress up with accessories and sandals to many hang-outs over the summer. Plus I can see it looking good with a denim jacket and boots for brunch/lunch dates for my family’s birthday celebrations over the autumn months. Then over the winter I’d team it with tights and a black merino and I’d wear it to the movies, or out for dinners and desserts with my husband or friends. And then come spring i’d team it tan sandals and wear it to visit gardens during the Garden Festival in my town!
Definitely a Christmas Day dress. Who doesn’t like to dress up a bit on the day 🙂
I’m a teacher. I would love to wear it to school and put some colour in my day. I often wear black so I think the children in my class would love to see me in a colourful dress. Maybe the dress would inspire them to do some descriptive writing!
I would love to wear this gorgeous dress to my girlfriends Mums 70th. She has a fantastic group of friends so it will be a great knees up for all 🤞🏻
I’d wear it all summer to family bbqs at the beach
I would wear it almost everyday ( a major summer staple) just just because I absolutely adore it 🥰 😀
Everywhere! I love wearing pieces like this to work as I’m in an IT department and so for the most part, our floor misses (and needs!) pops of colour 🙂
I would wear it fishing on the boat because I love fishing but I don’t have to look like a fisherman lol
This dress is fantastic, it is versatile. I will wear it anywhere really. But at the moment Im thinking I’d wear it to NYE partay
I’d wear this to work on the last day of the year to breakfast and also for Christmas Day. I love the pattern and that it’s colourful, soft and floaty. Easy to wear with sandals or wedges. Love it!!!! I have nothing like this in my wardrobe.
Work? And weekends with my new denim jacket. It’s very versatile!
Such beautiful clothes ❤️ . This dress looks like it could easily be dressed up for work & then let out to party 🎉
To the ASB Classic Tennis as I would be so stylish and still cool on the hot days …

Wow, I love this dress! The paint stroke fabric is so cool! I would wear this dress on Christmas day with the family because I know it would impress everyone and my mum loves seeing me dressed in a bit of colour (as apposed to the standard black, grey, navy tones which I normally go for!).

I never wear dresses, but having lots a good amount of weight recently I’ve decided to embrace my figure and wear more colour, styles and short skirts/dresses and love who I am. This beautiful dress would fit right in with my new lifestyle.
This is a fabulous dress that I feel would suit many different occasions, from a summer wedding to a casual BBQ, The options are endless with the beautiful colours to match to, and it would be easy to accessorize this to suit the occasion, Just love it!
Omg love this dress and the print I would wear it to the boxing day races (The paddock Area) a great piece you can dress up with cute wedges adding a touch of sophistication with fascinator, floral headband cute sunnies or straw hat
I think the question is “Where wouldn’t you wear this dress?” Because seriously, I reckon I’d wear this pretty much everywhere – the summer markets, out to lunch or coffee, and it would be a great dress to wear to the Tairua Wine and Food festival in January, light, bright and comfy for a day of wine and food!
