Every awesome label out there has its thing. It might be colour, or the ability to layer, or a distinct cut.

And the lovely label I’m about to show you is no different. Print and fabric are two of the strong points behind this NZ-designed brand, Tantrum (and it’s sister label Libertine, which I showed you in this blog HERE).

When I walked into Tantrum HQ to meet designer, Lissette Masyon, I was struck by the flurry of prints and colours and the Queenslander in my did a happy dance.

Chatting with Lissette about how and why she designs like she does was like talking to an old friend who totally gets what we all need in our everyday clothes

The struggles we face with fit, fabrics and choices. And she set out to provide something to meet those needs. Boy, my friends! Did she deliver!

SHOP THE FROCK: Tantrum Paint Strokes Dress RRP $139.00

This dress is my happy place! The lightweight rayon fabric is so soft to wear, the easy fit of the dress means that you can style it to suit your body and can we just take a second to talk about this print?? ALL of the colours!

Prints are definitely Lissette’s forte. And by keeping her cuts and shapes simple, she really shows off the fabulousness of the fabrics.

SHOP THE TOP: Tantrum Bubble Blouse $110
worn with Libertine white tencel cargo pants $139.00

The “Bubble Blouse” is an everyday star in your wardrobe. Team it back with a pencil skirt for work, or thrown it on over jeans or denim shorts for play.

The colours are infectious, and you can match it back with so many different things (just use the colours in the print to show you what to match it with).

The ruffle sleeve is a great trend detail, but the softness of the rayon fabric means it will drape beautifully without being too puffy if you don’t do big details.

Details are important when it comes to elevating your everyday style (which is what Chasing Cait is all about!). How cute is this split detail in the back of the “Deco Dot Blouse”

SHOP THE LOOK: Tantrum Deco Dot Blouse RRP $129.00 worn with Libertine Cross Cargos RRP $139.00

This lightweight, easy fit blouse can be tucked in at the front with a drape-style pant, or A-line skirt, or worn loose over a skinny jean (you’ve got the length in the back).

There are little pops of orange around the circles so you can play with colour (always fun to do in summer), or just pair the top back with navy, denim or white for a classic look.

This is definitely a label that will be on permanent rotation in my summer wardrobe! I love the colours, the fits and the price-point is amazing for the quality of the pieces.
