So if you are a regular reader of the blog, then you would have no doubt seen mentions of The Boy every now and then – well it turns out The Boy (whose name is Dean just incase you were wondering) is VERY good at surprises because on Tuesday (Dec 17th, my birthday) he blew me away and asked me to marry him in front of a group of our wonderful friends!!!
Now I know this is not strictly a fashion post, but I couldn’t not share something as awesome as this with you, my wonderful readers! (plus there were a few frocks involved – duh!)
So here is me all frocked up and ready to head out for what I thought was some birthday drinks with some mates here in Brisbane…..
All dressed in white quite by accident!

So his plan was very cunning….. he told us all to gather for a group photo, which he has asked the barman to take for us. The barman then feigned that he couldn’t get the camera to work, so The Boy went and ‘helped him out’……
While we were all then standing around waiting for the photo, The Boy started walking back, dropped to one knee, and opened a box with a BEAUTIFUL diamond ring in it! And they caught it all on film!!
He was down… but no one quite realised what he was doing down there yet……
aaaaaaaaaand there we go!!!
We are both so excited, and it was amazing to have some of our closest friends around to witness the event too! (Everyone thought I knew because I wearing white, but I had NO idea – I just think the white made me look more tanned haha!)
Now I am JUST warning you, the blog may, or may not now start to include stories of the wedding planning (all relevant to fashion and style of course!)……
So I suppose you want to see the ring?
It’s beautiful, amazing and shiny! And he picked it all on his own!!
And just for the fashion-lovers out there, here was the first outfit I choose to accessorize WITH my new diamond ring the next day, my first full day of being engaged!

woo hoo! (or as some have said, it’s about time!!!)
So there is the story of how I got engaged! NOW the fun begins…. wedding dress shopping anyone?
