*ok, well not EVERYTHING – not so helpful at the gym, or if you’re standing on your feet today. But you know what I mean!
What I mean is that not only will these shoes work with a fabulous cocktail dress, but they also work with jeans, or pants, or a jumpsuit etc etc.
“Good” shoes, or going out shoes, are hard to find, but I’ve found a pair that will pretty much cover all your bases for those occasions when a heel is warranted (so for some people a trip to the grocery store haha) but seriously, check out these puppies!
SHOP THE SHOES: Mollini “Alana” gold heels from StyleTread.com.au (also available in NZ!) $139.95

Treat metallic as a neutral when you are wearing bright colours – it can be a little more fancy than a nude shoe but it still blends into the leg well.

Cool and casual
Want to add some extra height in the day? These shoes are perfect for rocking with jeans and a tee to add a little glamour to a casual look. Boyfriend jeans (like I’m wearing here) or skinny jeans, it doesn’t matter – but it helps if you match your sunnies to your shoes like I am 😉

The neutral/metallic shade of these heels lets you match them with almost any outfit! They can blend into the background, or they can be the statement – you know how much I love pieces that have versatility – and these have it!
If heels aren’t your thing at all, you could always translate this to a metallic sandal or wedge too 😉
What do you think of these heels? Must have a place in your wardrobe? Tell me in the comments below to win a little prize!
I’ve just discovered how versatile silver shoes are. I have silver thongs, sandals, ballet flats and strappy heels. Next purchase will be silver espadrilles or silver brogues. Love the white Witchery dress. Looked for it online but it must only be instore. Shopping trip coming up!
SOOOOO versatile aren’t they – I have heaps in both gold and silver – yes, the Witchery dress is only in some stores now I think xx
You’re looking fantastic Cait!
awwww thanks lady xx
Love the heels Cait! I definitely want those for my wardrobe! 🙂
My fave is the all white outfit – where did you get that necklace from?
Oh they would look gorgeous on you Kimi! The necklace is an oldie, from Lovisa or Colette (one of those cheap and cheerful stores) xx
They’re very pretty and versatile but if you have cankles like me anything with an ankle strap is a huge no go!! I would if I could but I can’t x
Don’t be so hard on yourself (and your legs!) – the lighter colour acts like a nude and blends into your skin – you just have to watch what styles you wear them with, so maybe not a midi skirt, but definitely the boyfriend jeans, or any pants for that matter!
I agree with you if they were a darker colour, that creates more of a contrast, but I think if you tried these (or some along these lines) you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Old “fashion rules” are made to be broken! ie. you can’t wear ankle straps if you are a Pear. If you love something, wear it – you’ll feel good, and therefore you’ll look good xx
