I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I like shiny things. And is it just me or does there seem to be lots more shiny things around at the moment that usual!? (It’s probably just me and my obsession noticing things more right?)

And to prove my love of metallics to you in real life, here’s one I prepared earlier……
WHAT I”M WEARING: Portmans singlet | vintage belt from my mum | panama hat from MYER | Sussan metallic skirt on sale! (i’m wearing size 10 and I’m normally a 12) | Urban Soul wedges.
I love the crispness of metallics with white! It’s such a fresh look for summer. Sussan always does fun metallics (and they ship to NZ for free ladies – I generally go down a size FYI).
Use the metallic to guide you what to wear it with – if its a bronze or another darker metallic, black is usually best (or navy can look amazing too!) If it’s a brighter tone like silver or champagne, try it with white (or cream).
Keep your cuts quite simple for the day, something too ornate and fussy can look OTT during the day (never!) but go to town at night with all the glitz and glam you want!
Metallics are always a fun way to add a little something something to a classic outfit, day or night – why not give it a go?
