So it’s pretty obvious I love a maxi dress by now right? And this dress is right up there are one of my favourites. Maxis are the perfect summer option. They are pretty, and floaty and fun – usually in a gorgeous print but a flattering maxi dress can be hard to find (check out last weeks post on 6 bra-friendly maxi dresses).

What I love about THIS Leona Edmiston maxi (and pretty my all of Leona Edmiston’s maxi dresses) is the fabric. Jersey scares some people, but in a dress like this it is so flattering! It falls off the body in all the right places, and then the print helps cover those teeny tiny lumps and bumps that every beautiful body has.

There is enough room in the skirt to fall off the hips if you are a gorgeous Pear shape, but is slinky enough to create a slimming silhouette. The sleeves obviously make it bra-friendly, and the colours are so fun to accessorise with.

I love the orange in this dress, so I always play up to it with accessories and makeup (I’ve also just bought a gorgeous plum lippy so will give that a go next time!) My NineWest wedges are perfect (and give me the height as this dress is loooooooong – but easy to take up!)

There is nothing particularly trend-based about this dress, so it’s not going to date quickly. I can definitely see this being a staple in my summer wardrobe for years to come.
