I don’t normally like to split style up into age-groups as I think that age is just a number, you can wear what you want, when you want, no matter your age, if you feel amazing in it. So this is NOT going to be a “don’t wear this, don’t wear that”.
BUT, sometimes I do find that advice, or dress codes for specific occasions can be age-specific (like festivals!) and maybe some of us aren’t into just the cut-off shorts, tie-dye and fringe look (mainly because we did it the first time around!).
SO! This post, on request from a gorgeous reader, is all about other options to wear to festivals and concerts (like the Fleetwood Mac one the reader and I are both going to on the weekend!!) when shoe-string straps and flat-forms don’t do it for you anymore!
(I’ve kept most things on the more affordable side because sometimes things can get messy at festival and concerts so I don’t want you ruining your $200 new pair of white jeans haha)
1. The beach / field festival
Oh this is my kind of party. You can totally still channel the hippy-vibe, but with something that you feel comfortable in. Here are two looks you could try…
GET THE LOOK: Esprit Jumpsuit $99.95 AUD | Rubi felt hat $19.95 AUD | Lipstick ankle boots from StyleTread $89.95 AUD^ | Windsor Smith sandals from StyleTread $99.95 AUD^
GET THE LOOK: Rasaleela skirt from Birdsnest.com $74.95 | Garage from The Warehouse lace top $29.00 | Colette by Colette Hayman earrings $3.94 AUD | Number One Shoes sandals $29.99
2. The stadium concert
For me, this is all about keeping warm (or cool) and having comfy shoes! Will I be standing? Will it get cold when the sun goes down? Will it rain?? (all the things I’m thinking for this weekend!)
Here’s a few looks that will be fun, comfy and practical (when did I get so boring haha!)
GET THE LOOK: The Warehouse tee $25 (other prints available) | Boohoo.com kimono $45 | Glassons ripped jeans $59.99^ | The Warehouse trainers $15
GET THE LOOK: French Connection top $63.96 (on sale) | CottonOn jeans $30.00 AUD (on sale) | Novo sandals $39.95 AUD
So many outfits, so little time! Now I just have to pick which look I rock for Fleetwood Mac on Saturday night (and hope it doesn’t rain to hard!).
How about you? Are you a concert/festival goer? What do you wear?
